Some of you may or may not of noticed we have gone a little quieter on here just recently, we now have our private little group for CUSTOMERS ONLY - in other words “The people that matter the most..”🤷🏼♀️
Back in May, I received a letter of complaint from Wakefield Council (Animal Welfare) - obviously my heart dropped instantly but unfortunately some people feel the need to stick their noses in my business, who then decided they were going to report me for not holding a “Daycare Lisence”…🤦🏼♀️
1. I’ve NEVER even referred to myself as Daycare or advertised to anyone as this - we don’t have a base and we’re always out and about doing different activities to create a FUN day with your dog.
2. We don’t keep your dogs in one area all day - I mean how boring would that be for your dogs?!
3. Even Wakefield Council have agreed that I offer a unique service that isn’t your typical “Daycare” & have also agreed and understood that it’s a fine line for the need of a lisence but anyway…
I chose to go ahead with it just to cover myself if ever this was to happen again & people decide they are going to try bring me down AGAIN. Yep I know who you are so I personally would like to THANK YOU so much for making us even stronger than before & allowing us to now be able to offer potentially more services..🖕😬
After days, weeks, months of prep work, stress & sleepless nights making sure we have all the correct policies etc in place - today Wakefield Council came out to do their inspection. I was told from the beginning noone can ever get a 5 star rating on their first inspection. Gutting as I always like to achieve the best - however the next best thing would be a 4..

Sometimes taking those first few jumps off the ramp in a strange environment can be so daunting to our newbies even when they are known to love swimming outdoors..
Gentle encouragement & lots of praise is the way to go. Every dog is different and they will all progress at different speeds but persistence is key & they will get there in their own time! 💦

Oh I do moan about going in the pool - it’s no secret to anybody. I’m much happier on dry land but I must admit I did enjoy this mornings session with these lot..🥰
