Our last pre-Crufts training day today. Lots to learn, from minor tweaks to handling resets. Great positive feedback from the attendees, who enjoyed chilli lunch, teas, coffees, biscuits and of course a bit of banter.
Good luck everybody at your next shows and for Crufts too, of course.

Let's Go Show Dog Training
We had our last full days training session for this year and I think there was plenty learned practiced and lots to go home and work with . Lots of laughs but sadly me the chef says that the chilli wasn't upto the usual standard .. Will do better lol

We still have our Tuesday night classes running weekly at Grantshouse (6 max )with an occasional space available .

Tuesday night training starting back up weekly at Grantshouse. As we take only 6 handlers on the night booking and paying two weeks in advance is necessary although the odd space may be available on the night so always worth checking . To book contact me

Before you head to your next dog show think about this...

Your dog gets absolutely nothing out of being competitive for you. Of course, dogs are bred for specific jobs, or they’re bred to be athletic to a certain degree.

They have no idea that this show is a local agricultural show, Crufts qualifier, Westminster Show, or the World dog show.

And DESPITE us... DESPITE our nerves, our flaws, our incorrect cues, our huge emotions, they get the job done to their very best ability.

Even when we fail them by letting our emotions get in the way, they come back and they try again....and again....and again for US. If only we could all be so understanding.

To think of your dog that is forgiving and flexible enough to put up with the repetition of practice, the intense nerves of the handler, the stress of travelling and they will still meet you at the end of their lead ready to go. So if you haven’t done so lately.

Thank your dog

If you’re successful, thank the dogs that put you there and made you. Thank the dogs that gave everything they had for you .....simply because you ASKED them to.

If you’re still on the journey to success, thank the dogs that made you fall in love with this lifestyle and who have helped give you the confidence to want to learn more and be better.

We can never stop learning as dog people. By continuing our education every dog in our future will be better off.

So......next time you head to the show, leave your ego at the door and thank your dog!"

Were on daily one and already seeing great results coming in from those past and present we have taught from class placements and wins galore ... keep it up guys

We have our first best of breed of 2023 . The Sussex Spanial and handler came to us from a puppy doing many classes and 121 . Congratulations Sue Bell
