World Horse Welfare Burt would like to say ‘Good Morning’ to everyone and happy Tuesday ❤️ as you all know Burt lives a ‘track’ life after his little Shetland buddy ‘junior’ was diagnosed with cushings and EMS last November. We are about to start extending the track into the inner area currently not used, so I will keep you posted with how that works out 😄 in the meantime from Burt and us, have a great day ❤️

We are now stocking ‘Heel to Hoof’ barrier cream in preparation for our wet, muddy winter and for those that suffer with mud fever. It helps protect and soothe inflamed areas where soreness, swelling and scabs are evident. It will soften scabs naturally allowing them to fall away without causing any pain to your horse or pony. Heel to Hoof Soothing Cream is anti-bacterial and anti-fungal. This unique cream is rich in Lanolin BP and Concentrated Herbal Oils to waterproof and protect vulnerable areas.

Lanolin is one the toughest products known for staying on the skin. It also acts as an excellent water barrier WITHOUT sealing the skin. Heel to Hoof Soothing Cream acts as a barrier to help prevent sharp grit from penetrating sore cracked areas and help protect against infection.

Free from all prohibited substances under current FEI and HRA rules. Priced at £13.50, let us know if you’d like one or pop into the Diss office to purchase ❤️ have a great day everyone!

Lovely post by our client ❤️ thank you Rosabella Harrison - One Girl and Her Pony ❤️❤️❤️❤️

On Wednesdays I get to come home and ride my ponies as part of my cocurriculum, but yesterday I also got a little lesson from the vets!

Charlotte helped me find the ponies heartbeat, what it should sound like and showed me the difference between the ponies.

Smurfys heartbeat was loud and clear to listen to but Dimples was much quieter and kept getting interrupted by his rumbling tummy 🤣 This is because of the way there insides and muscles are laid out differently. How interesting! 🤓🩶🧡

Thank you Dimple & Smurfy for being excellent patients having your jabs and teeth done and thank you to Vet3 Equine Care for being really awesome again!

Hello Thursday! We’re coming to the end of the season for wild herd visits as the ground in most places will become to wet to do anything on. This photo was from a few weeks back and Georgie completing several vasectomies on a few of the youngsters of the herd! It’s a good job they’re inside the barriers… look how the horses surround them when one of theirs is the other side! Horses are curious animals and this proves just how much ❤️ have a cracking day everyone 😄

Happy Wednesday everyone! We always love receiving pictures and words from our clients after a vet visit… and this lovely boy Angel was one of 4 (2 horses and 2 dogs) vaccinated yesterday by the lovely vet Charlotte! This is what their owner Jacky said ‘Charlotte administered vaccines to two free horses and two dogs all of whom were too busy having cuddles to even know they had been jabbed. Who needs halters or leads when you’ve got an empathetic vet with good timing and good hands’ thank you Jacky 🙏🏻

Do you ever wonder what happens at a vet/farrier day with wild ponies? Well our lovely vet Charlotte managed to get a few photos of a visit last week… these include segregating the herd so that the ponies can each be sedated ready to have their foot trim! Rarely, they don’t play ball and then have to have a general anaesthetic which is exactly what happened on this day! So, out in the field down the pony went, to then have a nice foot trim! They made a good recovery after as you can see albeit a bit wobbly! all in a days work ❤️
