Ever walked your reactive dog in a busy area 🏙️ and felt unsure what's waiting around the corner? 🕵🏽♀️
This is how we keep our dog, Bollo, calm 🕊️and confident on walks using a simple technique called a food magnet.
It's worth mentioning Bollo isn’t highly reactive, but like many dogs, he doesn’t enjoy being surprised 👻. With a treat held close, we can guide him around blind corners and check for any surprises. If it’s not safe, ❌ we simply turn around or take a few steps back, maintaining a distance that keeps him comfortable while the dogs pass.👍🏽
This approach helps Bollo stay below threshold, ignore other dogs, and enjoy his walks ☮️stress-free.
Have you got a reactive dog or one who needs a bit more support in busy areas? Let us know if you try this technique or share your own tips in the comments! 🐾👇🏽

We love our clients, things can be slightly misunderstood sometimes though 🫣😂
Consider your hand feeding position to help with your loose lead skills.
We want the dog moving forward keeping straight as they can to reduce as much twisting as possible.
Give it a go and let us know.
