Horse Agility this afternoon with my clients two lovely horses. We had a curtain malfunction which highlighted just how good this activity is for desensitisation of horses this two year old Clydesdale didn’t bat an eyelid when it came now on his back !

Strimming docks is a spectator sport ! These two watched my every move as I did battle with the strimmer. I think the final score was Cath 1 - 0 Docks but I am sure the losing team will make a come back !

Lovely sunny morning for holding a clients horse for the barefoot trimmer. This young Clydesdale was a super star whilst he had his feet trimmed and stood patiently whilst his companion had her feet done.

What do you do when half the ponies from your 2nd daily yard of the day go to a overnight show. Fill the time attacking the sycamore saplings ! Good luck ponies see you Monday !

Holiday cover of 8 days is over for this lovely gentleman. There were rainbows and storms. But the weather didn’t stop me attending any of his needs. In his opinion the main one being his feeds !
I will still get to see the lovely boy daily for a while yet as his field companion now requires my services !

Some one looks happy after her pampering afternoon in the barn away from the rain. Mane hogged, feathers clipped and tailed trimmed by myself. Then the full salon experience was completed by a visit from my wonderful farrier !

It was wonderful to find a sweet treat hidden in the feed bin for me so the chickens didn’t get there first ! By a lovely client. Just what I need to energise me ready for the next job ! 🐓🍩🐓

When you go to The Lake District and find a horse very similar to your own which is also hogged. By a river you are watching your son kayak on ! (We had a little chat and I decided he is Belle’s long lost Uncle 🤣)

Have had fun provide holiday cover for 15 days for this cheeky youngster. Highlights where grooming sessions, horse agility and playing football. I of course also took time to do the serious stuff such as chores and hoof & feather care. It was lovely to receive a holiday gift from Kefalonia brought back for me by his kind owner on her return from the island. Thankyou 🏝🐴

My day was made first thing this morning when my lovely client gave me a long handled poo rake. I have been looking for one unsuccessfully for ages. It made my second yard visit of the day so much easier when it was put to good use poo picking 9 paddocks ! I want to say a big Thankyou for such a useful gift !

I was luck enough to get the opportunity to enter The Horse Agility Club August 2023 Young Horse Class with my client’s lovely Clydesdale. We came 3rd with a score of 45 out of 50. I am particularly pleased I got full marks for handling. The scoring for each obstacle is for horse/handler eg. 1. Raised pole 4/5. Horse got 4 points out of available 5 and handler got 5 points out of available 5 !

The total number of photos came to 17 that included the following:
My 15 Weekly Monday to Friday horses
1 holiday cover horse
And of course Belle my horse !
Some horses were much more willing to pose than others 😂

This lovely lad was very surprised to see me at 6am this morning as he usually sees me after my daily yards rather than before. We did a spot of horse agility at 6.30am. He attempted to eat the flag obviously still peckish even though he just had his breakfast !

Have had a lovely 6 days providing holiday cover for this handsome horse. Along side the normal horses chores we have done a spot of horse agility, had a number of grooming sessions including belly scratches which I know he likes. And had a chat in the field shelter when the heavens opened and we both took cover !🦄

Mischief was in the air today ! 🤣 Some one dug a hole, someone escaped and spend the the night pooing in the hay store. Some one stole part of the agility course ! 🤣
