This year I’d like to thank you for your continued support, I can also confirm that Chevinside Kennels will indeed close their kennel business April 2024 HOWEVER this WILL NOT affect Potters Pet Parlour Grooming business at all and I will be continuing as normal.
I have unfortunately seen an increase in late drop off/pick up, no show or last minute cancellations, and with an increasing waiting list and being self employed I’ve had to make the decision to introduce charges to combat such, so as from the 1st January 2024 fees will be introduced:
- Late drop off: Customers who drop off their dog later than 20 minutes will be charged (+£10), if 30 minutes or later the appointment will be automatically cancelled.
- Late pick up fees: any later than 20 minutes after agreed collection time will be charged (+£10). Any later than 30 minutes will be additional fees.
Late pick up causes unnecessary stress on the dogs as I work on a one to one basis reason being this minimises any stress for nervous dogs, each customer gets the same amount of time (90 minutes slot per dog - this is to allow me to perform a full groom in good amount of time in a steady environment).
- Cancellation:-
- 24 hours or more notice = no charge
- Less than 24 hours notice = 50% of full groom price will be charged.
- On the day cancellation = full groom price will be charged.
- No show (customers don’t turn up to their appointment) = full groom price will be charged
A new booking tool will change from 2024 onwards to a more reliable and accessible service for all of my customers, you don’t need to do anything the only difference is when you press “Book Now” Button it will direct you to PICKTIME a website that is very familiar to how Facebook Booking system work but more reliable. I have disabled the booking button for now in order to allow me to transfer all the current booked appointments over to the Picktime calendar and the button will reappear once I have completed this. This new booking system will include text (SMS) and email so this will send a reminder for appointments.
A head up for appointment: I am now fully booked up til Tuesday 9th January 2024.
