1st of February, the end of the hunting season in Spain.

It is estimated more than 50,000 Galgos will be abandoned or killed because they are no longer of use to the hunters.

Galgos are known to be calm, affectionate and loving dogs, a breed you might not have heard of as they are used as disposable tools.

Galgos make amazing family pets. We need to raise awareness of what they have to endure and an understanding of their nature, a breed that is often forgotten but should be in the spotlight 🐾

Lucky has arrived with me safe and sound. He's now settled in the wee indoor Kennel to give him some rest and time to decompress. Then he will be heading to his new home in fort william tomorrow. So I will enjoy a wee road trip with him tomorrow and update you all when he arrives with his new mummy.

Joanna has found Lucky a home 🥳

The catch? Transport from where he is to Scotland is costly. We are hoping for him to start his travels next Friday.

Please, help us find Lucky a new home 🙏

Due to unforeseen circumstances, his owner can no longer care for him. This sweet young boy needs to find his new family as soon as possible.

Lucky is a 3-year-old Collie mix who gets on great with other dogs and can live with cats. Lucky can be nervous around men he doesn't know, he has built up relationships with men given the time and space to do so at his own pace.
