I am an active, outdoors addict who has lived and breathed dogs for as long as I can remember. Take a look at my video of me having fun training my own dog Sprocket, who was just 17 months old at the time of filming! I am available every weekday to collect your dog from your home and walk him/her on or off lead in a pack of up to 6 dogs. All walks are across fells or open countryside with loads of
time and space for running, sniffing, playing and generally being a dog! Walks cost £12 and are a minimum of one hour but often go on for much longer. The clock starts once all dogs have been collected and we are off road. Every walk is GPS tracked and sent to your smart phone or printed off for you to see. Your dog is fully insured whilst in my care, certificate available to view on request. I am a qualified outdoor education instructor, a mountain biker, a fell runner, a teacher and I compete in triathlons. Terrible weather doesn't deter me... I am at my happiest when I am outdoors with my furry friends, whatever the weather! These are perfect for easing the pressure if your weekend has simply become too busy to provide for an active dog on top of everything else! The walks can be up to 20 miles long (e.g up Pendle Hill from Barnoldswick) and prices vary due to walk length. Field trips are posted on my website under "Upcoming Events". Places are available on a first come, first served basis...If these walks don't tire your dog out...nothing will! I love seeing dogs having fun learning tricks and agility; dogs are so happy when they use their brain and they love to please...it's tiring for them too! I offer advice on the use of my agility kit, which you can then take home for 7 days. I can teach you how to train for any of the tricks in my video and help you understand the psychology behind reward-based clicker training...it really works! The kit contains a 5m tunnel, 3 jumps, weave poles and a hoop; the automatic ball thrower is included :-)
It's magic to see a close bond develop between a child and a dog. Children can learn patience and responsibility by helping out and being relied upon by a living creature. We all know that a cuddle with a dog is good for the soul :-) and having four paws in the mix can often persuade reluctant kids to tag along on a family walk. My Clicker Kids sessions are run for your kids in your home and garden...after all, that's where their training sessions happen. I teach kids the basic requirements of responsible dog ownership and show them how to reward-based clicker train for commands/tricks. Children will receive a clicker (one per family) with a sachet of dog treats and of course, are able to contact me for further advise via a group chat on Facebook Messenger (must include one parent or guardian). I am a qualified primary school teacher and am CRB checked, certificates are available on request.
