Three of our lovely pets have very sadly crossed the rainbow bridge in recent weeks 😢
Molly was a grand old lady with a lovely nature and beautiful eyes. Kofi the wire-haired Viszla was a real gentleman who was loved and will be missed by all of the team. And devastatingly, we lost Bear - a big, funny, clever, beautiful young boy who has left a huge hole in so many lives.

We had a fur-(and feather-)tastic Bank Holiday weekend! The team did over 60 visits to your lovely pets and enjoyed every moment… apart from the litter tray bit…!! 🤣

Happy 20th Birthday to Petpals!
On April 13th 2004 Petpals opened its doors for business in the area, under the management of Nick Skinner. Two decades later we are still providing premium pet care services and Peter, Lisa and the team are excited to celebrate this momentous occasion and to thank their customers (and of course their wonderful pets) for their support over the years.

🐾🚨 It's Dog Theft Awareness Day! 🚨🐾

Our furry friends bring us endless joy, love, and companionship, but unfortunately, they're not immune to the threat of theft. Every year, around 2,000 dogs in the UK are snatched from their homes or stolen while out for a walk. It's a heart-breaking reality that no pet owner should have to face.

On this day, let's spread awareness about the importance of keeping our dogs safe and secure. Here are a few tips to help prevent dog theft:

1️⃣ Keep your dog's microchip information up to date.
2️⃣ Never leave your dog unattended in public places.
3️⃣ Try to keep your dog on a short leash in well-lit areas and vary your walking routes.
4️⃣ Ensure your garden is secure with high fences and locked gates.
5️⃣ Stay vigilant and alert of your surroundings, avoid getting distracted by your phone.

We very sadly said goodbye to this lovely old boy recently. He was almost 16 and had been with his owner since he was two.

Happy National Black Cat Day! 🐈‍⬛

This day was created by Cats Protection in 2011 in order to celebrate beautiful black cats.

When the campaign was first launched, it was revealed that it took black cats an average of a week longer to find a home when compared with other coloured cats.

After over 15 years with Petpals, caring for your pets in rain, snow, hurricanes and blistering heat, Tracy Booton will taking up a new role on Monday - working with humans and based indoors! Tracy has been an integral part in the success of the business, and we all miss her and wish her the very best. We will at least still be seeing her every now and then as she’ll be doing some house sitting and helping us out on occasion when her shifts allow.
