Press play to follow Rosie’s day at the vets 💙🥰🐶 We hope this eases any owners worries for when they drop their pets off to us here at PHP 💙
Here at Upton and Wareham vets we are commonly asked about 'puppy biting' - Or teething!!
Puppies will usually have all their baby teeth by the time they are 8 weeks of age. They then go on the develop their adult teeth and will have a full set by the time they are 4-5 months.
During this period you may notice that puppies like to 'nip'. It's important during this time that you encourage your pup to use toys to bite at all times.
Here you can see Willow enjoying her Kong toy!! A favourite amongst many dogs!!!
*Warning - Post about creepy crawlies!'
Here we have the humble Harvest Mite. Harvest mites are typically seen between August and October here in the UK. They appear on the skin as tiny orange dogs, almost like sherbet! - They can cause the pet to itch, scratch and bite, you may also see some hair loss.
If you are concerned about harvest mites please give us a call on either 01202624140 (Upton) or 01929552599 (Wareham).
