♥️🐶🐾 we said the Woof & Roam family has been growing recently so allow me to introduce this gorgeous young lady who has also joined our group walks!

This spotty little girl has been meeting her new friends this week and has joined our mentorship programme under the watchful eye of her new buddy who will teach her the ropes. 🐾🐶♥️

♥️🐶🐾 The Woof & Roam family has been growing recently and I’d like to introduce one of our newest members.

This lovely lady may be the smallest member of the family however she packs a lot of character in that little body of hers, preferring to follow and play with bigger pooches in the group.

I’m really looking forward to spending more time with her in the future. 🐾🐶♥️

The Woof & Roam page has recently had an influx of new followers and it has been a while since my last introduction so what better time than now to refresh it?!

So who are we?
Woof & Roam was set up in November 2021 by myself, Connor, and my aim has always been to provide a safe and loving environment where dogs feel confident enough to learn and thrive. We are able to achieve this by having an in depth conversation with all new owners and meeting any new dogs wishing to join the Woof & Roam family prior to any walks being conducted. This is the perfect opportunity for me to get an idea about what your dogs temperament and energy levels are like so I can carefully match your dog with other dogs who are compatible ensuring a positive association between your dog and the time they spend with me.

Before setting up Woof & Roam I used to be the manager of a day care centre where we would care for 30+ dogs on a daily basis. I have also spent time volunteering in rehoming shelters caring for dogs with more complex needs and I have spent the last 7 years working closely with a local dog trainer spending time with a multitude of dogs with varying needs.

I have completed and achieved my level 3 extended diploma in animal management as well as my level 2 in canine behaviour and psychology and canine first aid.

What We Offer.
We offer a bespoke dog walking service in the Sowerby Bridge and Halifax area catering for dogs with all kinds of requirements.

We currently have space for new pooches to join us on our group walks and our catchment area is between Sowerby - Skircoat Green.

We also offer a blue light discount (10% off each walk) eligible to owners of an up-to-date Blue Light Card as our way of saying thank you to our emergency service personnel.

❄️ With the UK turning in to the Arctic circle last week I had to unfortunately make the decision to cancel my walks however with highs of 8 degrees this week it has felt quite tropical which meant it was business as usual and what a week we had! It was so lovely to see all my pooches again and they all loved being back out with their pals! Here’s hoping that that’s the last we’ll see of the snow for some time now! ❄️

❄️ We are currently on day 3 of not being able to get out safely to see all your lovely pooches due to these sub zero weather conditions. The snow fall combined with temperatures of -5 degrees has made it unsafe for us to travel and we are incredibly sorry about the inconvenience us having to cancel will cause our wonderful owners however they have all been amazing and understand that my safety and the safety of the dogs is paramount. Please post photos of your pooches enjoying this arctic weather. ❄️🐶🐾

🎅🏼🤶🏼🎄 We would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas from the whole of the Woof & Roam team! We hope everyone has a wonderful day however you choose to celebrate!

Our Christmas 2024 model is the gorgeous Luna, an ex-racing greyhound, who is posing perfectly infront of her Christmas tree! To be in with a chance of your pooch being our Christmas 2025 model post your Christmas pooch photos in the comments below! 🎅🏼🤶🏼🎄

♥️🐶🐾 Yesterday we welcomed this handsome chap in to the Woof & Roam family! To help him ease in he has joined our mentorship programme and has been paired with a Woof & Roam veteran to help him learn the ropes! He is such a wonderful new addition! 🐾🐶♥️

🥳 Woof & Roam officially turned 3 today! 🥳

To celebrate the birthday of Woof & Roam we are announcing our newest promotion which will come in to effect as of January 2025!

As a thank you to all our emergency service personnel we will be offering 10% off our walks for owners who own a valid and up-to-date blue light card.

📣 Important Announcement 📣

For the first time in 3 years Woof & Roam will have some availability to welcome some new dogs on to our group walks! From January 2025 I will have the ability to take on some new regular dogs so if you are wanting to join the Woof & Roam family please get in touch. I will be conducting meet & greets with all interested owners during November and December to ensure I have carefully matched your dog with other like minded dogs prior to January so your dog is able to enjoy a fun, reassuring, and stimulating walk. 🐾

I cover the following areas:

- Sowerby Bridge
- Bolton Brow
- Copley
- Skircoat Green
- Saville Park Moor
& anywhere in between!

🎃 Happy Howl-O-Ween 🎃

From the whole team here at Woof & Roam we hope you and all your pooches are having a wonderful and safe Howl-o-ween! 👻

Halloween is traditionally the scariest part of the year and for our pooches the fear can be intensified with the increased number of visitors to your home so if your not taking part part in trick or treating because your dog struggles, West Yorkshire Police have 2 good print outs you can put up in your window letting people know that you’re not taking part this year, I will leave the link to it in the comments. 🚫

Also, with the increased amount of confectionary coming into your home this evening please ensure it is placed out of the way of your pooch as many sweets and chocolate contain the ingredient xylitol which is toxic to dogs if ingested. 🍫 🍭

♥️🐶🐾 Well that’s my first full week back walking with all my amazing pooches! We’ve even popped in to see this handsome fella while his mum had an extra busy day at work and he was an angel! 🐾🐶♥️

🐶🐾 Scarlet 🐾🐶

Scarlets owners got in touch recently to break the news that unfortunately this beautiful lady had crossed the rainbow bridge.

Scarlet was among one of the biggest members of the Woof & Roam family and she definitely had a heart to match her stature. She would make a big fuss of me, and I her, every time I would arrive to take her out for her next adventure. Whenever we were out Scarlet would have heads turning and compliments galore from people admiring her sheer beauty. Her eyes were enough to melt your heart and give her whatever it was she wanted, and of course she knew this.

Our thoughts are with Scarlets family while they navigate this turbulent time and don’t forget to give all your pooches an extra bum scratch tonight.

🎶 Hello, it’s me 🎶

I am back from holiday now and have contacted everyone back who has been in touch while I have been away.

I have had a lovely time in Munich and being able to watch Adele perform live was incredible! But I’m back now and I can’t wait to see all my pooches again! ♥️🐶🐾

2023 Round Up Montage

🐶 There’s not long left to before we say goodbye to 2023 so we just wanted to take a moment and look back at what this year had in store for Woof & Roam 🐶 It has been yet another year filled with lots of your amazing and wonderful pooches and I am always still overwhelmed by the love and support you all show me and Woof & Roam. We have welcome lots of new faces this year and also welcomed the return of many others. 🐶🐾 This year we have strengthened our bonds with other pet professionals in the industry and I’m looking forward to meeting many others in the new year. ♥️🐶 Again throughout this year we have held charities close to our hearts and we have had so much fun raising funds for various charities that Paul, from Baxter’s Dog Walking, and I are already planning 2024s big fundraiser for a local charity. 🐶 We have compiled our annual round up montage including every member of the Woof & Roam family that we have had the pleasure of looking after this year so keep watching to see some familiar faces. This year’s video is extra special as we have sadly lost a few members of our family so we have dedicated this video to the memory of the Woof & Roam pooches who crossed the rainbow bridge this year. ♥️🐶 We wish you all a happy and healthy New Year and however you decide to celebrate this evening please keep safe!
