And also, wishing all of our previous rescue and rehabilitation dogs a happy 1st Christmas in their new homes, with their new families (except Rex, he’s spending Christmas with James) ♥️

Today’s session was all about building Rex’s confidence out in the real world. We headed out for some street exposure, letting him take in the sights and sounds, from road workers to busy pathways.
He smashed his ball play, nailed his “out” commands, and even cheekily figured out where I hide the ball in my training jacket (smart lad!). We introduced a bark on command and a hold, and he picked it up quicker than expected.
To protect his hips, we’ve started shaping a clean “down” instead of a sit, and he’s already getting the hang of it. Every walk, every rep, every new environment, Rex just keeps showing more potential. This boy’s mind is sharp, and his confidence is growing with every single session.
