Here we have the progression of a Camponotus fedtschenkoi from a queen to a colony. These are a stunning species of carpenter ant which are well known for their semi transparent workers. This means you can have great fun feeding them different coloured sugar snaps resulting in their gaster slowly changing colour.

Keeping weaver ants can be an expensive endeavour. Until now that is. Oecophylla smaragdina have a reputation for being difficult. However, they are really much easier than people think using our outworld.



We use this setup to raise colonies in our store and now with a V2 port, it makes for an easy and modular way to grow your weavers all the way to 150+ workers.

Welcome to simple
Simply make up the spare test tube using the provided blue sponge and insert both tubes into the frame. Place the frame in the outworld and remove the cotton. It really is that simple. For best results provide a stable vivarium or overhead heat bulb simulate the sun.

For barrier, we recommend using slippy feet - POWDER. PTFE and Oil will not work for weavers as they are just too grippy.

Introducing our largest outworld the byd enfawr( Large outworld).


If you have a colony a larger colony who need space to explore then the Byd Enfawr is perfect for you. As the upgrade to the Byd Mawr the Large is our biggest size acrylic outworld offering with an impressive 210mm x 200mm x 190mm profile and 2 x V2 connection ports. Constructed using 4mm clear acrylic it is much more resilient to warping and bending than others in the industry. With a full fround rim, the edgest are not accessable by your colony lowering the chance of escape.

Welcome to simple
Simply connect the Outworld to any V2 port in range. If you are using another brand of nest, you will need to use a pipe adaptor with tubing that is 13mm. It really is that simple. The Medium outworld benefits from our modular functionality. This can either be used with Tubing, or attached securely to any of our V2 nests with a nest to nest connector.

The Outworld comes with a QR code to follow our easy and simple construction video, as well as a hex key.

Our Formica rufa tank build is really coming together! 🌱 Today, we added some moss, and we’re excitedly awaiting the arrival of our clean-up crew.
