Also don't forget your plants! I'm happy to mist, use rainwater and feed as needed.

Often a lot more economical and straightforward to have a pop-in from £7.50 than finding multiple boarding places.

Welcome!
FAQs:
1. Can you look after my pet cat/dog/chicken/gecko/stick insect etc?

Each animal is unique and I'm happy to customise my service to your animal's needs. I have experience with a wide range of animals and am happy to provide care to unusual or exotic animals as well with appropriate guidance. I'm currently working on my Level 3 Small Animal Care and Welfare qualification which includes small animal first aid.

I am used to handling and administering medication and am happy to do this and some basic grooming for your animal.

I include a free meet and greet so you can meet me and we can go through the exact needs of your pet.

2. How many visits?

I don't have a minimum or maximum of visits, happy to provide multiple a day or one off visits (useful if you have an appointment or are away for a day). Happy to discuss more tailored packages.

3. How much?

I start at £7.50 a visit (rather than per animal) which would average 15-30mins. This can also include a home security check, moving post and watering plants.

For larger bookings, I may ask for a 10% deposit after the meet and greet.

4. Can I trust you?

I understand it's nerve wracking leaving someone else with access to part of your home. I am happy to provide DBS and insurance certificates and evidence of my studies. References available on request.

I will always ask permission to keep and use your details and pictures. As you may notice, I do not post photos with identifiable data, I also have a policy of not posting photos at the time of looking after your pets and home for your security should an animal be recognised.

I do my best to follow all local and governmental (HMRC, DEFRA and APHA) rules. Please get in touch if something concerns you and I will look straight into it.

5. What if my pet gets unwell?

If in doubt about an animal's health, I will try to contact you first. If I am unable to contact you and I believe it is urgent I will take the animal to the vet your pet usually uses.

If I am concerned about extreme weather conditions or an animal I may arrange an extra wellbeing visit alongside scheduled visits.

I have business insurance on my vehicle and a dog guard, dog stairs (great for arthritic dogs to get into the car although takes some training) and access to a variety of animal carriers.

6. Do you home board or stay at my house overnight?

Being a mum & carer, I cannot stay in your home overnight.

I am able to home board smaller animals with their own hutches/cages and will provide room to exercise. We are also looking at trialling a boutique home boarding for dogs, with a view to get a licence later this year.

Soo excited that there's a hedgehog in our garden! That "wildlife" area is totally justified, not just weeds I've not got round to. Also a good lesson to beware of football nets in gardens!

Absolutely loved my first visit to Aquavets to see a hydrotherapy session with the lovely Layla. Also glad the new car stairs were a success for her!
