This little poppet is Nellie the Sh*tzu and she visited All About Dogs for the first time this morning. Now Nellie's reputation for being a bit of a diva preceded her and to be honest I wasn't sure what to expect, I mean, look at that face?! We did a pre-clip, bathed, dried and reclipped her, no issues, I even shaped her face and still nothing more than a spinning fidget bum. But oh boy... when it came to doing her feet and clipping her claws, OMG she turned into a 10 headed snapping devil lol. I tried everything in my arsenal to win her around, or even just keep her still, but she was a power house indeed and a bit of a contortionist to boot. Patience and the fact she wore herself out, got us to the end of the groom and with a truce cuddle before her human Mum came to collect her, Nellie left the salon to go and terrorise her canine siblings (Mum's words not mine) 💖

This gorgeous boy is Boss the Beagle and he visited All About Dogs yesterday for the first time. He arrived in a state of extreme panic and worry (so did his human Mum). It was explained Boss was involved in an RTC and since then he has been, understandably, terrified of new situations. We agreed on a plan of action and took it from there. Boss is such a gorgeous baby, with puppy rolls still in place. We bathed him, brushed him and cleaned his ears, all without too much trouble... until it came to his nails, this is his nemesis! Little sausage titbits got us so far, as did desensitising him with the nail clippers, but there was only so much he could take before his fear got the better of him, bless him. I'm hoping we can do some more work on helping him to over come his fears next time💙

This big woolly bear is Coco, the Alaskan Malamute, and she visited All About Dogs for the first time this week. Coco was very hairy indeed and a whole mountain of dead undercoat came out before, during and after her bath. Coco is a lady of a certain age and she definitely knows what she likes and what she DISLIKES... seems grooming is in the latter category. The second photo shows a small amount of what she left behind 💖

This very gorgeous boy is Oaty and he visited the All About Dogs salon this week for the first time. His Mum loves his scruffy appearance and wanted to keep his coat as long as possible, but unfortunately it wasn't possible for his body and legs. We kept his face and ears longer, whilst giving him an easier to maintain body. He's only a young boy, but behaved so well and gives the bestest fusses💙

This very distinguished gentleman is Sherlock and he visited All About Dogs this week for his regular pamper. Despite turning into a starfish when trying to get him in the bath, he is always very well behaved and does as requested in a very gentlemanly manner! He leaves looking so dapper 💙

This totally adorable boy is Rocco and he visited All About Dogs yesterday for his regular Saturday appointment. He always comes in with a waggy tail and when his humans have gone, (he plays it cool until then) he explodes into a chaos of kisses and cuddles. My ears and eyes were certainly cleaner when he left. Love him, he's such a sweetheart, until next time monster💙

This lovely lady is Misty and she returned to All About Dogs today for her 8 weekly pamper. Misty has a bit of a skin condition so we took her coat quite short and then gave her a nice bath with a soothing tea tree shampoo and balm conditioner. I'm not sure she entirely appreciated the sentiment, as she definitely had her stubborn pants on today! Sadly, this is very possibly the last time I'll see Misty and her Grandma & Granddad, as she's moving. It's been a pleasure getting to know you all and I wish you all the very best for the future💖🐶🏖

These gorgeous senior ladies are Millie & Daisy the Sh*tzu's and they came to the All About Dogs salon yesterday for the first time. They both had their funny little ways and Millie in particular loved a good fuss. Daisy wasn't quite so enamored about being there, but we got there in the end. They are already booked in for their next appointment in six weeks... until then ladies💖💖

This gorgeous little goldilocks is Nellie the Cockapoo and she visited the All About Dogs salon for the first time this week. She was such a dainty little dot and so well behaved I almost didn't know I had her. We had lots of cuddles along the way and she took everything in her stride. She definitely left looking every bit the storybook princess💖

This most gorgeous teddy bear is... Bear and he visited All About Dogs for the first time this week. He is the most amazing bundle of soft fur, squidgy puppy fat and just overall cuteness. He also stood like an absolute pro for his entire groom, he was such a good boy, especially as this was only his second ever groom. He is such a stunner all round💙

This gorgeous pair are Pippin & Bear the Cockapoos and they visited All About Dogs for the first time yesterday. Despite being the same breed, their coats are completely different. Bears is very tight curls and Pippins is more silky and wavy. It took some time to work out which clipper blades and combs to use, but we got there and they both left looking very cute indeed💖💙

I collect Daisy from her house and from the moment we meet to the moment I drop her off, her little tail does not stop wagging. She's such a happy little cutie pie, who just loves life! This gorgeous little sausage is Jasper the Cavalier and he visited the All About Dogs salon for the first time last week. His human parents said this was the first time he'd been to the groomers, as they'd been clipping him at home. He did remarkably well for a newbie and was a super squidgy cuddle💙

When your little sister is a goofball and insists on stealing the limelight! This gorgeous pair are Eddie & Luna the Vizladors and they came into the All About Dogs salon for a pamper. Eddie is an old hand at it, but this was Luna's first full groom. She went first in the hope the bath would tire her out, that didn't work!!! When it came to Eddie's turn, she really didn't understand why she couldn't be on the table too... bless her. All fun and games, love them both💙💖

This gorgeous little grandma is Holly and she came into the All About Dogs salon recently for her routine pamper. Holly is mostly blind and deaf, so everything is done slowly so she isn't startled by anything. She is always as good as gold and this time we didn't even use the hammock for her claws. This gorgeous lady is Xena (possibly a warrior princess) and she visited the All About Dogs salon twice in the last few days. Xena is an amazing 13 years young, but unfortunately has very bad hips. As a result of this and her difficulty standing for any period of time, she was very matted with enormous amounts of trapped dead coat. During her first visit she had a major bath and deshed treatment, with some clipping out of the heaviest mats. During her second visit, we sat outside and brushed, brushed, brushed and combed, combed and combed and eventually we removed all of the dead undercoat and left her silky and shiny. Finally, her back end was taken right back to help with maintenance and keeping clean. The cutest thing about Xena is she likes to have her paw held whilst she's being groomed awww! She really did do so well and I hope she is now feeling much more comfortable 💖

CUTENESS WARNING: This delicious little girl is Blossom the 7 month old Sproodle and she came into the All About Dogs salon for her first full puppy groom yesterday. She is doggy little sister to Chewie and despite being the same breed, they have completely different coats. Blossom is only just growing her curls, so we decided on a good trim whilst her adult coat continues to come through (and she grows into some of her delicious puppy rolls). She coped with the whole grooming process very well, even if she did resemble a pancake for most of it! Look forward to seeing her and her puppy mayhem soon. Blossom page two to follow 💖
