And that’s a wrap!

From team Shosha, we would like to thank all of you for your custom over the weekend at the The Great British Koi Show. It was great to chat to so many people over the two days. Sorry if our conversations were cut short at all, as we were busy on the stand!

To add to that, we would like to say a big thank you and well done to all the volunteers at the show from the Yorkshire Section BKKS. Without you guys, there would be no show so hats off to you and thanks again for your hospitality keeping us fed and watered throughout the show!

Lastly a big well done to all the hobbyists that showed and to those who won prizes with some great koi.

Well…. We have some news!

Shosha Koi Opening Day - 15th September 2024!

It’s been a rollercoaster ride for us at Shosha Koi, but after a huge effort we can finally announce we’re opening our retail premises!

We’d like to invite you all to the shop on the 15th of September 2024 at 10am. Here you can see what we’ve been doing for the last 5 months. It’s been hard work but we are there 😄

Once our Autumn Shipment is in from our upcoming Japan trip we’ll also be opening doors for a sales event, likely very early next year.

Located at Rutland Garden Village, Ashwell Road , Oakham, Rutland, LE15 7QN.

Our customer support since we launched last year has been overwhelming, thank you so much for everything each and every one of you. Every fish purchase and online order is massively appreciated.

Chairmans closing statement…

Although we are classed as a smaller “local” show it has never stopped us from dreaming BIG! The standard of koi, the professionalism of our show team and the care/attention to detail taken to ensure our setup is up there with the best is 2nd to none! The amount of messages i have received to say thanks and to highlight the exceptional quality of koi on display is testament to that.

When leading a show it’s always easier when you have a hardworking/knowledgeable team behind you, thats what we have at the North of England Koi Show! It’s been an absolute pleasure to work with everyone involved. The team worked so hard to ensure the visiting public enjoyed this year’s event.

The raffle was one of if not the best so far in the UK this year in my opinion. 2 koi (from Prestige koi and Koimasters) and a huge selection of quality dry goods. We even had messages from hobbyists saying how impressed they were with it! This wouldn’t be possible without our sponsors. You know who you are!

We continued to improve and develop our show further this year with the addition of trickle in/trickle out on our dealer vats, a learning area for hobbyists, modernised exhibitor presentation, new banners/signage/certificates etc.

S&C Koi created a great stand at the show. Some very nice koi on sale along with a huge selection of dry goods! Thanks for making the trip up to us Chris Savoury and Sarah Savoury.

Our main sponsor this year was Shosha Koi. Mike Hughes / Lee Bailey and the team have the pressures of starting up a new venture but were so keen to support our show, we cant thank you enough guys. Making the investment in our show while still having to invest in their own premises demonstrates how this company feels about supporting/growing the hobby for years to come.

We look forward to seeing the magnificent content that the World of Nishikigoi produces documenting our show. Thanks for the continued support Liam Bess 👍🏻.

2024 was my 2nd and last year as Show Chairman. It’s an important and at times very stressful role but your measure of success is solely based on the team/sponsors/supporters that you have behind you. I have been very fortunate to have that support during my tenure, thanks so much guys 🙏🏻.
