You may recognise this face, he was taken to the Dogs Trust by the person who found him. He sat patiently waiting for his owner to look for him and is grateful for everybody's shares, but still he waits........

Microchip details are out of date, so he'll be joining the other hopeful dogs in kennels waiting for their owners 😪

Please, keep on sharing as his owner may not have social media and somebody just may recognise him.

A great first day out picking up, thrilled to be out after missing last year. Dogs worked really well. Had a little helper, Esmai thoroughly enjoyed being out with me and I loved having her company.

Just had our first of the Wednesday group lessons, 6 handlers with dogs, some young some reactive towards dogs but the lesson went really well and everyone seemed pleased. As always I thoroughly loved teaching the handlers to get the very best out of their dog. Do your homework guys so we can move forward in our next session 🥴 I totally forgot to get any action shots as too engrossed in teaching so this photo is of my vizsla in work mode. I ll try harder next time to get a few pics 😁

Due to the great response for my obedience group lessons, I ve put together the day / dates I can do. Both classes will be covering the same things, but if all goes well and you do your home work we could then follow on with potentially another block of 4 with a higher standard.
In the first block, I would be covering
Heel work, sit and stay, recall, whistle work, behavioural issues.
The class would have a mixture of ages and breeds but I ll ensure that each individual handler / dog works on their problems as well as the whole groups.
Group lessons are great to ensure your dog starts to listen with the added distractions of other dogs but also its perfect for a handler to learn not only what works for their dog but also other dogs, so always learning as no dog / handler is the same.
Please get in touch asap which block you would like to be included in.
First come first served.
Lessons do need to be paid in full to secure your space

Wednesday 4th , 18th Sept, 2nd and 16th Oct - 10 am prompt start

Saturday 7th , 21st Sept, 5th and 19th Oct - 10 am prompt start

GROUP LESSONS

Max 6 in a group
Block of 4 lessons

Group 1 – every fortnight
Beginners
- Establishing your dog to listen
- Start your obedience / manners journey
- Understand your dog and what makes it tick

Group 2 – every 3rd week
Novice
- Increasing your training, obedience journey
- Really getting the basic obedience established and then testing it with distractions
- Bringing some gundog work with in your training

Both groups are for pet or future working dogs.

Outdoors in fully fenced paddocks

I strongly believe that all dogs should be trained to ensure using their brain and to stop them getting bored.
Once training is established you will get the well behaved, calm companion dog that we all dream of having.

Do get in touch if you would like to discuss the lessons further and to book your slot.
These lessons will work particularly well if you have already had a 121 first session with me but it’s not essential.
I hope to start these lessons as soon as possible, once I know the amount of interest for them.

Hello, I'm Pia Birnie, the founder of Gamesika Gundogs. With over 35 years of experience and a lifelong passion for dogs, I have dedicated my career to training and teaching. At Gamesika Gundogs, we specialise in providing expert training services for both gundogs and pets.

PETS AS THERAPY VOLUNTEER: My black and white Springer, Fish, passed his assessment in March 2023. Since then, we have been visiting Penrice House, offering patients the comforting presence of Fish. We are also looking to expand our visits to schools to support children in need of some calm companionship.
