Winter weather is not kind to your dog's skin, paws and nose. Cold winds and wet walks can crack the skin which is very sore and uncomfortable.

Always use a Rescue balm to protect and prevent during this time. Our rescue balm can be used on all areas of your dog's coat and skin. Don't forget the ears and skin folds too.

In the winter months your dog's skin can become dry due to thicker coats, central heating and a change in temperature, this can dehydrate their skin and cause flaky dandruff.

Using a moiturising shampoo such as ours along with a conditioning treatment will help protect the skin and add back in any lost moisture. The calming ingredients will help to sooth the skin too leaving them flake free.

Winter coats are great! They help protect your dog from a full mud bath, keep them warm and dry, and also look stylish too!

Some, however, will also increase your dog's risk of matting. Fitted cotton body suits will potentially create friction when out that will bunch the fur together and increase the chances of matting.

It is even more important to ensure you are brushing them daily and loosening the fur after each walk.

Keeping on top of it will not only help prevent matting, but it will also help aerate their fur and help prevent drying out their skin.

Our paddle brushes have soft ball ends that are great for loosening the fur after wearing a body suit. And remember… Always follow with a comb check!

It's important to take a dry towel with you on wet or snowy winter walks. This way you can dry your dog off before heading home.

Our microfibre towels not only absorb up to **3X** more water than regular cotton towels, super soft preventing discomfort on cold paws and skin. They will also help to remove debris in the fur and any bacteria picked up on your walk. 💁
