I’ve cared for dogs my entire life and one thing I’ve learnt is that all dogs are unique. Here are some of the other dogs in my life & a little about them 🐶
🐾 Doof - Podenco - 5 years old:
My family & I adopted Doof after he was rescued from Spain. Even though he has those huge ears, Doof is actually completely deaf. During his time as a stray, Doof caught an infection which sadly caused the total loss of hearing. When we adopted him, his name was originally “Prince” but after he settled in and became comfortable with all of us, we quickly realised that his goofy nature & funny personality meant he was destined to be named “Doof”. A gorgeous boy, with a soft, loving & gentle nature.
🐾 Flossie - Saluki x Whippet - 6 years old:
We adopted Flossie as a puppy, very soon after her front leg amputation. Flossie was originally brought into a family who already had a dog. Unfortunately, this dog did not take too well to Flossie and ended up attacking her, leading to the loss of her leg at a very young age. She quickly recovered after her surgery and ever since, she has been the quickest & most energetic “tri-pawd” I’ve ever known. Flossie is extremely outgoing, loves an adventure & meeting new four-legged friends.
🐾 Macka - Cross-Breed - 13 years old:
I met Macka through my boyfriend, Lewis. Macka is a cross-breed, mainly Ridgeback & Rottweiler, with a little bit of mystery thrown in there too! Macka was a stray in Australia when he was adopted by Lewis as a puppy. When Lewis moved back to the UK, Macka came along & grew into the biggest, friendliest & most loving gentleman. I met Macka when he was 13 years old & have gone on lots of small, slow adventures with him and caring for him when he could no longer go out for walks.
🐾 Clover - Greyhound - 4 years old:
Clover was adopted by my family & I, after she spent her early life as a racing greyhound in Ireland. She came to us very nervous and afraid of humans, due to the nature of her racing career. It took a good few months, but once she felt settled enough, her true personality shone through. Clover is an exceptionally weird girl, who is always pulling the funniest of faces and getting herself in the strangest of positions. Like many domestic greyhounds, she is a loveable couch-potato with the sweetest of natures.
