I am deeply saddened to be writing this post but sadly due to recent health issues and the fact that in October i am seeing a specialist about my knee replacement which has a 95% chance of having to be taken out and replaced again im not taking any more bookings, The bookings that i already have i will try my best to honour (depending on the verdict of the specialist) However i will also try and give as much notice as possible to customers who have already booked in for next year so that they may find alternative care for their furbabies if im out of action after any surgery! I have thought long and hard about this matter for many weeks but my range of movement isnt good now and i cant do things to my full potential as far as the dogs are concerned, Its been a heartbreaking decision for me as i love my boarders as my own and im so thankful to my many lovely customers who have been back many many times over the last few years but i also have to think about my health and recovery. I will always be here as a friend to you all and will be happy to answer any queries you may have regarding the furbabies....im not saying this is a final goodbye just a ciao for now.....Normal services will cease on october 24th (unless of course you are already booked in) but after this no more bookings will be taken until a possible date in the future but i will certainly keep everyone informed if and when i resume services, THANKYOU, THANKYOU and THANKYOU all again for giving me special memories to treasure and for trusting me whole heartedly with your precious furbabies whom i love with all my heart and will miss so much! XX

Just received some devastating news this afternoon. Hugo the gorgeous great Dane, who has stayed with us on numerous occasions was involved in a car accident that unfortunately took his life. Hugo was such a gentle giant with a beautiful heart and soul and will be VERY sadly missed. Our thoughts are with His mum n dad Jo and Simon. RIP HUGO over the rainbow in doggy heaven

URGENT............. All dog owners,
There’s a bad virus going around right now.
Keep an eye on your pets' behaviour and clean their paws after each walk.

This is from a vet, see below:
Vets are reporting higher than usual occurrenced of gastroenteritis in dogs which is fitting with a wider phenomenon as reported by The Small Animal Veterinary Surveillance Network (SAVSNET).
So far we have found that the cases seen- whilst clearly being poorly- have responded well to treatment.
The British Veterinary Association (BVA) advise that with prompt veterinary treatment almost all dogs make a full recovery from this uncommonly violent gastric bug.

How Is This Vomiting Bug Different?
According to Vet Dr Danielle Greenberg of SAVSNET, this vomiting bug is unusual due to:

Prolific vomiting of 5 or more episodes in a 12 hour period which can stop for a period (such as overnight) and then starts again
Dogs are often unable to keep water down at peak vomiting stage.
Anorexia and lethargy for 2-5 days
Diarrhoea: Most dogs have ‘gravy-like’ diarrhoea
Full recovery can take 5-10 days

What We Know So Far:
This outbreak is affecting areas across the Midlands, Wales, the North of England and Northern Ireland
The illness is most likely a virus but has not yet been identified. Seems to be dog-specific, thankfully humans don’t appear to be at risk.
This is not caused by Parvo or Salmonella.

Urgent Request.....
Does any one know of any one looking for a kitten? I am asking on behalf of a lady who has a rescue kitten looking for its furever home. The kitten is a grey tabby with beautiful markings. Female born in May..i have personally seen the kitten and shes stunning and will make a beautiful cat, she does however require chipping and vaccinations, She isnt free as we need to know she is going to a home that is going to give her all the love she needs and the right person will be willing to pay for her .... I can send pics of her and price to anyone who is genuinely interested. Also if you could spread the word around it would be most appreciated...Lets get the little beauty a wonderful loving home..ps she has been well handled since being rescued and is friendly. Had some really sad news today.
Reggie the staffy who we've had stay with us on many occasions over the last few years has sadly had to be put to sleep today. 😭
Reggie suffered with epilepsy and sadly it was getting more prolific as time went on. He had just spent a few days with us and went home yesterday, sadly he started having fits last night and again this morning!
You will be sadly missed big lad. Sending love to his family.
