⭐⭐⭐ Start the new year in the best way by booking a bit fit appointment for your horse.

Discounts if I see more than one horse on the same yard.

Everyone knows how important it is to have your saddle fitted and checked regularly. But did you know that having your horse’s bit fitted is just as important? The bit is an invasive piece of equipment which if not fitting correctly can cause undue pain and discomfort within the mouth and on pressure points on the head.
We all want the best for our horses, which is why a correctly fitting bit is vital, not only for your horse’s comfort but to enhance the trust and communication between you both.
Whether you are a happy hacker or a serious competitor, your horse’s welfare will be greatly improved by having your bit fitted.
Make a close study of your horse’s behaviour and see if any of the issues listed below are being displayed, which might indicate that your horse is experiencing some discomfort or distress.
You will be hugely rewarded by providing them with a truly comfortable bit fitted by a qualified professional.
-head tilting
-tail swishing
-reluctance to go forwards
-tension in the head, neck and body
-opening the mouth
-constant chewing or licking
-fidgeting
-over salivation
-rushing
-ears pinned back
-reluctance to have the bridle put on

I cover S. Bucks, E. Berkshire, S. Hertfordshire and some of Oxon.

Here is Bear after we found him a bit that he liked. You can see how much calmer and stiller he is in his mouth. There's no chewing or fussing, just a happy, quiet and relaxed horse.
👍🏻👍🏻❤️❤️🐎🐎

Bear is an ex racehorse. He's not being ridden at the moment due to an ill fitting saddle so he is worked in hand.
You can see from this clip that he was very unhappy with his French link bit. Constant mouthing, chewing and generally trying to shift the bit around to find a comfortable place.
Poor boy.
See the next post for the results of his bit fitting appointment.

An interesting day learning more about bits. Neue Schule ones in particular.
