Good news announced: The International Junior Handler of the Year competition WILL be returning to Crufts 2023, after the 2022 absence (due to Covid)

I have decided to discontinue with an attempt to set up a SW Handling Club, hence the change of name for this page. This page will now, therefore be solely for my handling training, although I will still be looking into the potential for the setting up of a points system towards a trophy or award of some kind.

The next training session I will be running will be at my own club, Taunton & DCA, on the 18th of May.

We will be running an annual points competition, starting from Jan 22

A Handler will earn 4 pts for a first place, down to 1 Point for a Res
Plus extra points for Best Junior/Best Adult/Best Overall - Where Awarded

The points form will be posted soon

We are looking for anyone that would like to donate the trophy for Best Junior, Best Adult, Or Most Points (Best Overall)

The fun online show proved to be very popular indeed! Many thanks to everyone who entered, and special thanks to Richard Lemon, Zoe Adey and Briony Humphries for judging. Congratulations to all who were placed. Let me know if you would like another show in the future.

with the circumstances as they are at the moment, I will not be doing any seminars for the forseeable future...please feel free to use my resources to practise, and I will (hopefully) produce some videos to help you learn

Whilst it may be frustrating not to be able to go to ringcraft/shows/etc, it's no reason to stop training - got a grooming table? then you can practice your table work...use your garden to practice movement, stick your wheelie bin on the garden path as a 'judge' - remember it's important to still keep your dog mentally active as well as physically active, and it's good for your own mental wellbeing as well! stay safe everyone.
