Yesterday we took the opportunity to visit Miss Sixpence and her offspring, Brian the yearling and Liquorice her foal at foot. I believe she was pleased to see us although it may of been the carrots 🥕 we took as bribery. It will exciting to see if they have her love and jumping and ability to bust some moves 🤎🧡

People are always quick to moan and slow to praise.
I would like to say a massive thank you to Nupafeed as not only has their very affordable product helped relieve some of Cullentown Boy's head shaking systems, when I contacted them yesterday just to let them know a bottle had arrived damaged they had a replacement bottle sent out the next day. I didn't expect this or ask for it but I am very grateful. What wonderful customer service. Thank you 🤩

We currently have this cute little girl in constant her education, she has arrived with a saddle but I'm looking for some to fit her and Ellie better. Looking to borrow for a few weeks a 15 inch saddle with quite a flat seat if anyone has something that isn't been used.

So beyond proud and pleased for these two, Andy and the infamous Bwian!!
I first coached them at a Diary of a Wimpy Eventer wimpy weekend and have trained with them ever since.
They had a little blip with their entries which I managed to help sort with the assistance of some amazing people at head office.
So so chuffed that they got to realise their dream 💭 ⭐️🏆🥇

Cullentown Boy and myself haven't been in the arena for over 5 weeks. We are both lacking show fitness but have plenty of show condition 🙈 Despite our preparation not being up to our usual standards and Freddie quite obviously being desperate for a wee, he jumped two cracking double clears to bring home 2nd 🥈 and 1st! Now to work on both of our fitness and waistlines before our next outing.
It was nice to have my mum and my little dog Chunkie 🐶 on booard for support and thank you to everyone else that supports our journey 🚛

I've been working away this week at the Pen*stone District Riding Club camp. The weather has been horrid! I left bright sunshine ☀️ in Lincolnshire to high winds and rain 🌧️ in Yorkshire 🙈🤣 I spent most my time putting fences upright from the wind, yet the children didn't moan, they are made of tough stuff, and as soon as the puissance wall came out they were game on! 🙃

Don’t forget your why.

We unconditionally commit ourselves to this sport. We sacrifice enormous parts of our lives, and ourselves because we are so passionate about what we love.

But whilst we work, grind and graft to become the best riders and owners we believe our horses deserve, we sometimes forget the most important thing...we forget why.

Why we get up at 3am for a competitions, why we forgo new clothes so our horses can have special shoes, why we get up 2 hours earlier than “normal people” because stables don’t clean themselves, why we invest our hard earned money in saddles, entry fees, supplements and rugs.

We do it because once upon a time, a little kid fell in love with a horse and never looked back.

We do it because these animals bring us incomparable happiness.

They lift us up from the darkest of places and they give us a reason to get out of bed.

They push us, challenge us and shape us into better people by teaching us lessons we’d never learn anywhere else.

They unlock a whole part of us that we never knew existed. A stubborn, determined, strong willed part that refuses to give up.

They keep us grounded, reminding us that sometimes even though certain things may be out of our control, our own actions and emotions never are.

They make us laugh, when we don’t even feel like smiling. They are like warm soup for the soul, they fill our hearts without even trying.

So next time you're in the saddle, just take a moment. Breathe, smile, laugh... and don’t forget why.

1 x group ridden session can be flat, poles or jump with myself
1 x horse care session with Lauren
1 x quiz and turnout competition with prize 🏆
Rosettes and refreshments for all.
£40 each
Maximum of 8 spaces ridden although can take extra non riders if friends want to join for the horse care £15
£15 deposit secures the space for riders and £5 for non riders
Parents must stay on site, tea and coffee provided ☀️

Home from coaching at another busy Diary of a Wimpy Eventer wimpy weekend. As usual there were a fabulous mix of riders of which I enjoyed building their confidence and pushing their boundaries. Next one is in August which I believe is full to the brim ☀️
