Freddie
Building on the training earlier on in the week, keeping the rhythm forward out of the turn. This exercise was really beneficial for us and I'm sure a lot of my riders will recognise it 🧡
Milo
Sales livery Milo is literally getting better every day. He is a jumping machine! If you are looking for a quality horse at a reasonable price who lives to jump, then he is your man 🤎
Training with Freddie
First jump training session with Cullentown Boy for 2025. I've done a voice over for you so you can see what I was trying to achieve. Funnily enough at one point I felt he was going to fast and open but as a coach I prefered what I was seeing on the video so I need to take my own advice and 'Embrace the Pace!' #training #showjumping #jjequestrianservices #learning #progress #EmbraceThePace
Milo
Sales livery Milo working long and loose on the lunge over trot poles today. He is looking for someone who is confident and one like to take him showjumping 🤎 #training #lookingforahome #showjumping #funtimes
Polework
An example of a progressive polework session at SYKEHOUSE ARENA. The lesson was to promote rhythm, balance and straightness. Music: Born To RunMusician: AlexGuz #jjequestrianservices #education #learning #training #progress
Milo
Unfortunately at JJ we don't have an indoor school, what we do have is a frozen lake and a slightly hard surface so we have resorted to long lining the horses to keep them exercised. Sales livery Milo was a model student today. He is still looking for a new human who likes jumping, doesn't mind the odd spook and will love him unconditionally 🤎
Milo
Sales livery Milo is sooo much fun! He seriously is looking for someone who would enjoy competitions on him. Jumping definitely 💯 is his thing. He even nearly did a some extracurricular celebrations today. His hacking is improving. He is very low mileage for his age so would make someone an affordable competion horse 🐴
Milo
Little update on sales livery Milo. On arrival all horses have to do 2 week isolation and we know from his previous owner that Milo benefits from daily turnout. Initially he was unsettled in his stable and spooked in the arena and also did a buck but now he is getting regular turnout he has proper chilled. Today he was ridden in quite high winds and he wasn't bothered and so I popped a little fence. He hasn't done this in a while so we kept it low key but he thoroughly enjoyed himself. Although Milo is sixteen he is very low mileage and would be suitable for someone wanting to do some competitions 🤎
Out and about
Sales livery Milo and schooling livery Prince heading out in the big wide world. Milo was so much more confident with company although he was happy leading. They met a motorbike 🏍️, the bin lorry 🚛 and loads of cars 🚙 and were as good as gold. #goodboys #jjequestrianservices #younghorsetraining #saleslivery #education #improvement #training #learning
Sunny
Tempting Business throughly enjoying himself on the long reins, he was not happy when Lauren asked him to walk and it activated his bouncy butt 🧡
Milo
Little update on sales livery Milo. He has now chilled in his stable but I think when he relocates he will need to be given the time to settle again. Today Harriet worked him over the canter poles, he loved it but blotted his copy book when he spooked at the cars 🚙 parked next to the arena. I believe despite his age he just needs to see a little more of life, so that is our plan for this week 🤎
Reay
A simple training exercise I used this week helping to maintain balance and rhythm through a turn, encouraging the rider to keep the leg on and the result was the horse growing in confidence ⭐️
