Teddy in for a quick bath and tidy between grooms.

Some of our customers like to come in a bit more regular for an ‘in between’ session. Teddy’s in between includes bath, feet trim, bottom trim and a quick tidy around his face.
These extra sessions keep your dog looking and smelling great

Unfortunately an injury to my hand last week has resulted in damage to my tendon in my index finger on my right hand. You guessed it I’m right handed. I have had an operation to repair it but will need this week for it to recover. Any customers that are already booked in will be given priority for booking appointments, so my apologies anyone not already on my books may have to wait a few weeks.

I really appreciate the well wishes from those who have sent them and those that are waiting to rebook, I have a plan but I just need to speak to the physio first. I know all your fabulous dogs are desperate to see me and I really appreciate all your support.
Will be in touch end of this week/beginning of next.

*** road closure update***

Please note access to coppice close from Bankside is from the hightown / Morrison’s end. It will say road closed but there is access for residents and businesses. Please be aware that the road works are changing the closure points regularly and although I am doing my best to update they may be different to what I’ve posted. Please leave plenty of time to arrive

Please note that bank side will be closed from 10th May until the 18th June. Although residents and businesses are allowed access this will probably cause a lot of disruption for people coming for appointments. For those that are able i would suggest parking in Sainsbury’s and using the cut through just past Sainsbury’s which links you to the St. Louis meadow park which is just next door to me. I would say it will take you between 5-10mins. You could link it in with you weekly shop.

I’ll update with any further information if I receive any.

Park in Sainsbury’s car park close to the Oxford road,

use the pedestrian exit at top of the car park

Walk up Oxford road to just past Sainsbury

There is an alley way here with a house that is set back from the road

Walk up this alley to gain access to at Louis meadow park

Walk right through park to bottom exit to come out right next to simply paws grooming

We have received the following guidance today and will be open for grooms which are needed for the welfare of the dog. If you have an appointment booked please contact me to discuss or if you feel your dog can wait a few weeks please let me know.

As before if you are currently showing symptoms, have tested positive or you are currently self isolating you must not attend your appointment, please let me know ASAP

As many of you know fluffy our little jindo puppy just didn't grow. At a year old he weighs just 4.5kgs. The animal health trust have been supporting us and our own vets to help find the right treatment for fluffy to ensure he can lead a normal life. The medication that fluffy is receiving has made a huge difference to his looks and also his energy levels. The animal health trust are continuing to look at the genetics behind fluffy and help prevent other puppies be born with this condition. The animal health trust are an independent charity which work to improve diagnosis, treatment and prevention in horses, dogs and cats.
Throughout august and September I will be donating £1 from each of my grooms to the canin genetics research department. So if any of my customers wish to help please leave a small donation in the jar on your next visit or alternatively you can donate direct to the animal health trust via there website. http://www.aht.org.uk/
