Jennie's pole work masterclass, love these!🥰

Pole work exercises can help horses improve their muscle, posture, and stride, and can also help horses and riders improve their trust and communication.

There are many different pole work exercises that can be done, and the complexity can be increased as the horse improves.

Here are some examples:

🦄 Raised poles:
Place six poles in a line, one stride apart, and walk or trot the horse over them. This exercise can help engage the horse's hindquarters.

🦄 Circle pattern:
Place poles in a 20 cm circle, and walk or trot the horse around the circle, making sure to go over the center of each pole. More experienced riders can try riding a figure-eight through two opposing poles. This exercise can help the horse develop suppleness and practice bending.

🦄 Lateral serpentines:
Perform serpentines around ground poles to help the horse bend and soften, while also giving to the rider's aids.

🦄 Set up four poles:
Place four poles in the arena, one at each X and A, and two parallel to the track on the three-quarter lines. Then, ride the horse around the poles, making lots of turns and bending in different directions.

You can make these exercises as easy or as hard as you want too.

Why is grid work so important for you and your horse?

Gridwork exercises for horses can help improve their jumping technique, as well as tackling specific problems, such as horses who rush, horses that frequently knock poles down in front or behind, and those that lack confidence or are just starting to learn how to jump.

Dennis, aged 16y, ISH, 15.2hh. I have tried the Catago LED pad for a month and I used it in the area behind the saddle and on the "muscular tension" setting. Before starting treatment I took some videos so I could see the difference. The differences I've noticed when riding is how much softer he is over the back and really wanting to stretch down and over his back. When working more in a collected frame he is staying a lot softer along his back and not becoming hollow in his frame. When running my hands along his back I can notice that the tension behind the saddle is much reduced and seems a lot more comfortable. The pad was super easy to use and has so many different programmes for horses, humans and dogs! Dennis was really chilled about having it on his back. It's great for targeted use to a specific area! Would definitely recommend 😊

CASE STUDY 2! Catago LED Therapy Pad https://www.comfyhorse.co.uk/product/catago-fir-tech-led-therapy-pad-q27/ Dennis, aged 16y, ISH, 15.2hh.
