Brackenfields shetland ponies we breed miniature Shetland ponies of all colours, based on Kerswell and Fairy bloodlines. we aim to breed miniature shetlands of all colours under 34 inches.

Our ponies have lovely pedigrees with mostly Kerswell, Fairy and Tawna bloodlines. All our ponies have Newpark Chieftain, Kerswell Nijinsky, Vorden Picea, Ron of Northwells or Tyros S

torm of Lambsbridge in their pedigrees. We believe these sires have been used to great effect on Shetland ponies and that they have had a beneficial outcome on present day bloodlines. Their stamp is still noticeable in ponies around the world today. Our hope is that our stock will continue to have their traits like pretty slightly dished heads, large gentle eyes, good conformation and straight movement of their famous forefathers. Our ponies are regularly shown and placed at county level.

Our Story

we aim to breed miniature shetlands of all colours under 34 inches. we aim to provide quality not quantity and so usually only breed a couple of foals a year. Our ponies have lovely pedigrees with mostly Kerswell and Fairy bloodlines. All our ponies have Newpark Chieftain, Kerswell Nijinsky, Vorden Picea, Ron of Northwells or Tyros Storm of Lambsbridge in their pedigrees or are southpark/fairy breeding for many generations.

We believe these sires used by kerswell stud have been used to great effect on Shetland ponies and that they have had a beneficial outcome on present day bloodlines.
