Brackenfields shetland ponies we breed miniature Shetland ponies of all colours, based on Kerswell and Fairy bloodlines. we aim to breed miniature shetlands of all colours under 34 inches.

brackenfieldsshetlands.co.uk we aim to provide quality not quantity and so usually only breed a couple of foals a year. Our ponies have lovely pedigrees with mostly Kerswell, Fairy and Tawna bloodlines. All our ponies have Newpark Chieftain, Kerswell Nijinsky, Vorden Picea, Ron of Northwells or Tyros S

torm of Lambsbridge in their pedigrees. We believe these sires have been used to great effect on Shetland ponies and that they have had a beneficial outcome on present day bloodlines. Their stamp is still noticeable in ponies around the world today. Our hope is that our stock will continue to have their traits like pretty slightly dished heads, large gentle eyes, good conformation and straight movement of their famous forefathers. Our ponies are regularly shown and placed at county level.

Very pretty head and markings. Lovely pedigree with lots of duns and roans in the pedigree. Fantastic breeding including- kerswell warrior. Newpark chieftain. Kerswell crusader. Kerswell nijinsky. Vorden picea. Kerswell muscat. Ron of North Wells and Tyros storm of lambridge as well as Fairy regent. Fairy impala. Fairy flash and Coriander from the Fairy C, I, and R bloodlines.

Rose foaled this morning a lovely healthy foal. Not sure of s*x yet. Being very foal proud and won't let me near enough to get a good look. Think chestnut though does have the mealy nose of a dun. Have to wait a bit till she settles. Last one for a while. Other maidens not showing any signs.

Black with minimal white flashes on side 2 white socks 2 white stockings may roan later.
Exceptional kerswell and old pre kerswell breeding. Pedigree contains some hard to find bloodlines.
May be for sale to exceptional home. But won't be cheap so no time wasters or I'd rather keep her.

Both were complicated births but mums and babies doing fine now. Keensacre sangria produced we think a silver dun by Halstock kenzo.
Halstock dimples produced a lovely cremello with beautiful blue eyes again by Halstock dimples. Both will be retained.

Our 3rd and last foal this year. A beautifully bay filly out of fairy cossack. By brackenfields firefly cast a spell. Waited years for this one! Hoping she will make it. Due to foaling complications and some pretty poor vet support! We are hoping to keep this one! But still early days yet. 2 weeks and counting
