😀🐴 Jago was very happy to have the all clear after his annual health check with Charlie! 🤗

We have definitely seen a rise in cases of respiratory viruses over the past few weeks with the change in season and switch to winter routines 🤧

💕The best way to protect your horse, pony or donkey, is with vaccinations which are available for Flu, Equine Herpes Virus (EHV) & Strangles. We would also advise protection against Tetanus. 💉

Happy hump day🐫

We thought we’d give you a little more of an insight into Chloe; she graduated from The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies in 2020. Before starting work in busy mixed practices in Jersey and Scotland, she then completed an equine internship before joining us at Duchy.

Chloe enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine but has a particular interest in lameness.🐎

In her spare time, she enjoys walking her dachshund, Monty, Labrador, Florrie and her Tibetan terrier, Clemmie🐾

💥 Last week we were fortunate to host a laser surgery clinic day with specialist surgeon Cajsa Randall from Exmoor Equine Clinic 💥

Casja treated a number of patients, removing both sarcoids and melanomas under standing sedation🐴💤

We are very grateful to Casja for travelling all of the way down in the wind & rain to enable us to provide these specialist services to our clients, so close to home 🚘

If your horse, pony or donkey has any suspicious lumps that you are concerned about, please get in touch. We are hoping to host another clinic day soon 📅✂️😷

We are so delighted to welcome our new vet Chloe to the Duchy family, alongside her gorgeous 3 hounds 🐶🐾 (Clemmie the supermodel in the photo!)

More info to follow soon but we hope you will make Chloe feel very welcome when you meet her out and about 💕

It’s not all about keeping up with what’s new in our profession - also a great opportunity to brush shoulders with the innovative and wise of the equine veterinary world, squeeze in some early morning runs 🏃‍♀️ and get glammed up! 💃🥂
