🐾 Our lovely Penny is still looking for her forever home🏡 – Please share her post and help find her new family 🐈‍⬛

Hello Everyone
My name is Penny and I’m 18 months old. My foster Mum says I’m very affectionate and friendly, and I agree I do like to be stroked and petted.
I like to play too. I have lots of toys, my favourites are my feather fishing rod toy and my super long tunnel.

I don’t mind other cats, so if you already have a cat friendly cat I’m sure we’ll get along just fine. I’m not sure about dogs though.
My foster Mum says I’ll be best suited to a home with older children or adults only and I would like there to be a safe garden away from busy roads where I would love to go outside and play once I’ve settled in.

I’ve been in care for what seems like ages and I’m so looking forward to having a home and family to call my own. If you think you have one for me then please, please get in touch with the nice people at Cats Protection.

Tinkerbell escaped from her carrier from Hawthorns Kennel & Cattery car park ... she ran off across the road to Havana Nature reserve.
Please check your gardens /sheds garages incase she is hiding. Or keep an eye out for her if dog walking. She is not local to area ( lives Whitley Bay)
She's a much loved family cat we just want her home safely

Sky is an energetic 3 month old little girl who loves diving in paper bags and tunnels. She will come over for strokes but is far too busy being a kitten to stay for long. When she finally settles down she enjoys a belly rub or watching the birds outside from the window ledge.
Sky could live in a home with other cat friendly pets as long if she was introduced slowly and your pet is happy to play. One with access to a safe outdoor space away from main roads where she can explore when she’s old enough to go outside would be preferred.
Sky is neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated and her flea and worm treatments are up to date. She will also have 4 weeks free Petplan insurance.

Meet Luke and Leia, this adorable brother and sister are only 3 months old and looking to find their forever home together.
Like all kittens they love to play, Leia loves her toy mouse and chasing her ball across the floor, whereas Luke’s favourite toy is his feather fishing rod wand, and when they’re both worn out they like to snuggle down together for a cosy nap.
A home with access to a safe outdoor space away from main roads that they can explore when they’re old enough to go outside would be preferred.

This beautiful sweet natured 9 year old girl is looking for a new home through no fault of her own. under our direct homing scheme,
Direct Homing is a scheme Cats Protection offer to help cats on our waiting list find their Furever home without needing to come into our care.
We make no claim to accurate knowledge of the cat’s health or vaccination status and can give no guarantees. This is a private adoption and there is no charge for this service and no adoption fee to pay.

Like a lot of cats Tikka can be quite shy when you first meet her, but when she gets to know you she is very loving and affectionate.
She is mainly an indoor cat so would be happy being indoor only, but if you do have a garden she does enjoy lazing in the sun on a summers day.
It will be best if she is the only cat in the home, but she could live with a calm cat friendly dog if you are prepared to introduce them slowly.
She is neutered, microchipped and her flea and worm treatments are up to date, although she has been vaccinated she would need a restart as they have lapsed.
We are told she has no known health issues.

Rio is an incredibly sweet but shy lad who is still adjusting to life at the centre, we know with lots of love and extra TLC from our amazing team his confidence will continue to grow 🥰

Rio arrived at the Tyneside AC with another cat however they weren't getting along too well, and so he is looking to fly solo in an adult only 🏡 We know Rio will make the purrfect addition to someone's family 🫶🏻

Mitzy would happily be an indoor cat but does like to occasionally potter and explore the garden.
An adult only home with a slower pace would suite her best as she likes to spend a lot of her time snoozing.

🐈‍⬛ Penny is looking for her furrever home 🏡

Penny is around one year old, a friendly petite little girl who came into our care with her two kittens after being found abandoned and sheltering in the basement of a house.
Her babies have both found their forever homes, so now it’s Penny’s turn to find hers.
This friendly little lady will come to greet you to say hello, rubbing up beside you asking for strokes,
Like most cats her age she loves to play chasing a laser pen or jumping after her feather fishing rod toy. She isn’t a needy cat though and will happily chill out on her own, watching the world go bye on the window ledge.

Penny will need access to a safe outdoor space away from busy roads and will be best suited to an adult only home or one with sensible older children. No dogs, but she could possibly live with another cat, if your cat is calm and cat friendly and you are prepared to do a careful and slow introduction.

Penny is neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated and her flea and wormer treatments are up to date. She will also come with 4 weeks free Petplan insurance.

Penny has had a rough start in life, finding herself on the streets, having to fend for herself and her babies. She deserves a fresh start and a loving family to take care of her and spoil her – could you be that family?

18 were in Cats Protection foster care and an amazing 17 were rehomed through our Direct Homing Scheme 🏡

- Mishka and her three kittens Topaz, Ruby and Pearl 🐈🐈🐈

At the beginning of December we were asked to help a young Mum and her kittens who were living on an industrial estate in a very unsafe area.
The kittens have all blossomed and even Mum who had originally earned the nickname Mama Bear as she was so protective of her babies now loves a cuddle.
All four have now found their purfect forever homes 🏡 and as you can see are doing really well

🐈🐈 Basil Update 🐈🐈

At 13 years old Basil came to us after his owner who he had lived with since he was a kitten had sadly gone into care. He was adopted from the branch at the end of March and as you can see he is already made himself at home - his new family say Basil is enjoying exploring the house and settling into a new routine of eat, sleep, play, repeat. His favourite spot is on the back of the sofa watching the world go by.

Neutering Update - for all cats

We have seen unprecedented popularity of our neutering financial assistance scheme this year.
Due to the sheer volume of requests and in order to ensure we can continue to help cat owners
across the UK, we've temporarily paused some aspects of our neutering financial assistance
while we future-proof the delivery of the scheme.
The support from the vet profession for this programme has been exceptional – we have so far
this year delivered over 90,000 neutering vouchers to vets across the UK. This pause will
ensure our processes will better support those vets helping us.

There are still vets on the neutering scheme which is £10 per cat at participating vets for people on a low income or on benefits this includes neutering and microchip.
