Its ‘Gotcha Day‘ today for Snowy! She seems to have taken on pack-leader role and keeps both the ‘boys’ in check, leading the way at a million miles an hour on her twice daily adventures.

She has been a real ray of sunshine in an otherwise miserable year we have all been having.

Snow has a new friend! Ben ( to be called Obi )arrived from Cyprus, just like she did herself, through the fantastic efforts of Apollo’s Angels.
He is a 1year old GWP and although it’s only been a short introduction so far she is clearly enamoured. Time for him to grab a rest after a long flight and arrival at early hours this morning 😀

Pleased to report Snowball is fully recovered from her Op now (that was remarkably quick) and back to her old comedic self, full of beans and running everywhere ...... then flat out on the floor (as usual with her favourite toy) or monopolising the cushions .... until it’s time to do it all over again 😀

Snow is feeling a little bit sorry for herself after yesterday’s ‘op’ (three months after her first season) 🙁 All went well and at least there is a nice new ‘babygrow’ to wear in compensation and the temperature has dropped after last weeks meltdown so it’s much more bearable.

Sure to be running around like her normal self again soon 😀

It’s been a while since we updated on Snowball - now known by us all as Snowy, Snow, Miss Snow - she comes to us whatever we now say as she has grown into a lovely, affectionate, responsive and happy young lady. She has been coping well with the recent hot weather, maybe something learnt from those few weeks in Cyprus before coming to the UK😀

she knows it’s sensible to search out the shade at midday and Occasionally likes a cooling scarf (or is that tolerates one).

Firstly, I should make it clear that Snowball is perfectly well and continues to become a big part of our family.

This has been a really sad and tough week for our family though as we said a final good bye to our big, soft and lovely Lazslo. Nearly fourteen years of friendship and love. The home will never be the same again and we are naturally heartbroken 😥

Eight weeks in now and Snowball (or Snowy as she inevitably gets called) has made herself fully at home. She has really bonded with Otto but does like to sneak into his basket to retrieve the odd bone or chew when he’s not looking!

Snowball is now able to play off lead and her recall to us is good. She really loves to play and can certainly hold her own when things get to rough and tumble. Not every recall requires the reward of a treat either and she is happy with just 'good girl' praise.

Quick update on Snowballs progress this week. She has settled really well and is now much more relaxed 😀She has been getting to know her new dog family well, and while still needs to learn not all dogs like being constantly licked on the face (!), she is playing really nicely with our GSP Otto in particular. Chasing balls looks like a favourite pastime ⚽️⚽️Being very food driven is helping with her training
and her recall to our voices is a happy work in progress. She likes the settee too and often climbs up to lay next to us. She really is a lovely affectionate girl once she has confidence in you.
