Your Local Dog Groomers is now closed for two weeks & will be back on January 3rd 2023. I would like to thank all my customers for making YLDG first year so amazing. I would especially like to thank The Mobile Dog Groomers customers who are now bringing their dogs to me instead of me going to them! The first month of Your Local Dog Groomers has been busy! I have been delighted by how many of my mobile customers are now bringing their dogs to me. I have also taken on some lovely new local customers and this side of the business is growing quickly. We are nearly ready to start converting our outhouse into my new salon & are just waiting for some new doors. So for now I am still in the van on the drive & I have some availability for February so please get in touch to get your dog booked in.

Hi, I'm Philippa (Pip). I only walk dogs one to one so they get the care and attention they deserve. I also have a policy of only ever having them on the lead unless the owner requests otherwise (eg ball throwing in safe confines).

Hi, in light of tonight’s announcement I would once again ask for the following to be adhered too while we are in lockdown:

No cash, card or bank transfer only.
Extension lead left ready for me to plug into outside.
No collars or leads, I will use my own which I will sanitise.
I will be wearing a mask.

I would ask that anyone who thinks they have come into contact with someone or thinks they might have COVID-19 to let me know as soon as possible so we can reschedule your appointment.

I look forward to seeing you all from a distance.

Back to work on 2nd of June

Hi everyone, The Mobile Dog Groomers will be returning to work on the 2nd of June, thank you for being patient & your ongoing support

I will have to make the following changes to appointments:

I will be wearing the appropriate PPE & completely sanitising before & after each appointment

Extension leads need to be left out for me to plug into when I arrive for your appointment

Dogs must be handed over from a two meter distance, leave them in the hall, forecourt, drive etc

Do not put their collar & lead on them, I will use my own lead

Your dog will be washed before being clipped as per guidelines

If your dogs fur is very matted they will be shaved down

No cash or cheque payments, you can pay online (must be paid the same day as the appointment pm me for bank details) or by card as I now have a card machine

I would ask that anyone who thinks they have come into contact with someone or thinks they might have COVID-19 to let me know as soon as possible so we can reschedule your appointment.

COVID-19 Update

In line with government rules The Mobile Dog Groomers will be taking a little break & will be back as soon as possible! In the meantime, please look after your dogs coat by brushing, combing & removing any mats. If you need any advice or would like me to give you a grooming plan for your dog please do not hesitate to contact me. Look after each other & stay safe.

Unfortunately, we have to confirm another six cases of cutaneous and renal glomerular vasculopathy (often termed CRGV or Alabama Rot). The cases are from Frilsham (Berkshire), Little Lever, Bolton (Greater Manchester), Rugby (Warwickshire), Cannock (Staffordshire), Torquay (Devon) and Chorley (Lancashire).

This brings the total number of confirmed cases to 109 since 2012 with 26 in 2017. Most confirmed cases have been seen between October and April. We would continue to advise owners to be vigilant and to seek advice from their local vet if their dog develops unexplained skin lesions/sores.
