I have been so lucky to grow up with so many different kinds of animals! From guinea pigs to dogs, budgies to horses, I was always trying to teach my furry friends tricks and getting muddy! I have always wanted to work with animals, and so I made the first steps to this by completing a Level 3 extended diploma in Animal Management at Plumpton College in East Sussex. I could have stopped there, but I had a drive to expand my knowledge! However, instead of going straight to university I took two years to work at Sussex Coast Vets, where I gained valuable knowledge and experience in the field of animal medicine. Following this I made the big 250 mile jump from my small hometown in East Sussex to come to University Centre Reaseheath! I have recently graduated from my FdSc in Animal Behaviour and Welfare, as well as having joined the British Diverโs Marine Life Rescue as a volunteer! My next step, alongside Be PAWsitive, is to complete my Bachelors in Animal Behaviour and Welfare at Reaseheath, and I am beyond excited!

From a young age, I always knew I wanted to work with animals. Growing up I was responsible for a range of small rodents including guinea pigs, mice, gerbils and hamsters and I am now the proud owner of two very lively yorkies! My passion for animal welfare led me to study a Level 3 extended diploma in Animal Management at my home back in Hertfordshire. During my studies I volunteered for the Cinnamon Trust, helping elderly people to walk their dogs as well as completing 300 hours of volunteer work at a local animal rescue centre. This helped me to land myself a job with Albany Pet Services, a local service in Hertfordshire providing solo dog walking and pet sitting. This job has enabled me to gain experience in working with a variety of different animals, including reactive dogs. I also completed a course in Advanced first aid for dogs and cats. In 2020, I graduated my Foundation degree in Animal Behaviour and Welfare at University Centre Reaseheath with distinction. I am now going on to complete a Bsc in Canine Clinical Behaviour. In my free time, I also volunteer for a charity providing animal assisted therapy for vulnerable people in the Manchester area.
