Emotional day today as I had my last walk with Ted the wee sausage! His family are moving out of my area and sadly it’s just a bit far for me. It’s more than just a last walk, it’s then end of a 10 year era as before Ted, I walked their beloved Snoop! I’ve said it before but I really do have the best clients and I’ve seen this lovely family go through the heartache of losing Snoop far too young and during Covid which was so stressful then the arrival of their gorgeous son! I was so delighted when two years ago they phoned to say they had a new puppy! Obviously I had to make room for wee Ted and what an absolute joy he is! We’ll all miss him and I know he’ll especially miss Poppy, his idol but I’m sure we’ll stay in touch and hopefully manage the odd walk! Congratulations and good luck in your new home x

Ticks are just vile disease ridden insects and sadly this year due to a mild winter, we’re already seeing massive numbers of them! So here’s a brilliant hack I’ve come across to get the blighters before they attach! Just run a lint roller against the coat after walking and voila!

***Reunited, she’s a wee bit cold and going to visit the vet for a check up.***

Drones organised and local Dog Trapping Team involved.

If anyone has seen a dashund puppy please get in touch. She is a red dapple but at the moment looks more brown dapple. I fell over last night and she got a scare and managed to get out of her harness and ran off. We live in Strachan further along from the Silver Ladies and she was in the farmer's field but ran off when approached. We've been searching for her all night and this morning but can't find her anywhere. I am out of my mind with worry as she's only a baby and absolutely adored by all of us. If you have seen the puppy please take her to the vets or the police station. To date she's not been handed in. She must be so frightened. Please share far and wide. I'm sick with worry. My phone number will be in the comment section in due course

Cedar was involved in an RTA last night at 8pm. Sadly he didn’t make it. Heartbroken for his family, our thoughts are with them. Run free over the Rainbow Bridge Cedar 💔🥲🌈

First full week back and I would say I’d hit the ground ’running’ but I think the body readjusting to walking is probably enough! There is a reason I don’t take many holidays 😆! All the dogs seemed delighted to be back out with their chums and thankfully the weather was perfect with cold but dry days. Wee Iris escaped her puppy pouch to walk a short way and I’m so proud of all the dogs and how they react to a new dog, especially a puppy! She’s a lucky wee pup meeting all these fabulous dogs. If she turns out as nice as them, I’ll be delighted 😁 Definitely tired her out anyway and for that I’m very grateful 🤣!

Well that’s a wrap for another year! 2023 has not been the best weather wise but every year seems to have some extreme and let’s face it, the dogs don’t seem to mind! I’ve welcomed new dogs who’ve all settled really well and sadly I’ve said goodbye to a few of my elderly chums! I feel so privileged to have been part of their lives! I think I say it every year but I know I have the best dogs in Banchory and I definitely have THE best clients! I’m so fortunate and feel so humbled by the generosity! I’ve been thoroughly spoiled ☺️! It’s a job I’d do for free if I didn’t have bills to pay and feel we are all one big family! I hope you all have a fabulous Christmas with family and pets and I’ll see all my hairy colleagues in 2024. New pup Iris will be integrating slowly into the walks so wish me luck as the baby Wolverine is something else 🤣!
