I know how important all our four-legged friends are, so I'll always make sure they receive the highest quality care. As your dogs are the priority, I give them my total focus when we’re out. I do take a few photos (dogs are so photogenic it's hard not to), but wont be pre-occupied posting on social media or chatting on the phone. I aim to tailor walks to whatever suits your dogs, whether that's a
relaxing mooch through the woods, or a higher energy run. Despite being The Dog Runner, I still enjoy a leisurely walk, so am more than happy to welcome any dogs who are less athletic! Inevitably, we're likely to find mud on our outings (it's a key part of doggie fun for many). Although I don't offer a full bath, I always endeavour to return dogs home in a presentable condition.
I hadn't long arrived at the park with Nova, Gizmo and Rupert, when we met Lily, Henry and their three cousins, which produced a lovely welcoming party. We saw all the local Bernese (Roger, Bella, Norman and Charlie), a...
Gizmo was reunited with 'the other Gizmo' near the beginning of our walk, so he was in celebratory mood. Rupert was excited to be back with his friends after a week away, and Nova was happy because she's Nova.
It was a busy morning to start my first full week post holiday. Nova, Gizmo, Rupert and I met Lily and Henry to begin with, then joined by Amber, Daisy and Phoebe to complete the family fivesome. The arrival of Roger, ...
After a week on holiday, getting back to work was a bit of a shock, so I tried to ease myself back gently. My first walk was with Gizmo, who had a very enthusiastic welcome for me. He was in full Gizmo-mode, and when w...
Very early on in our walk, even by their standards, Nova and Rupert started playing. They were charging round in circles at every grassy section near the path, until they finally decided they needed to run into the stre...
The week may have started a day later than usual, courtesy of a bank holiday, but it still began with the delightful entertainment that's always provided by Rupert, Nova and Gizmo. The footpath gave Nova and Rupert plen...
Rupert, Nova, Gizmo and I were only part way to the playing field when we met Hettie and Ottie, which meant there was much playing at the field. A high proportion of the time was spent with the girls chasing Rupert, to ...
The morning started of perfectly normally, although it was raining and cold. I'd been expecting shorts weather, but realised in time that might not be the best idea. We'd only just reached the footpath, with Nova and G...
After the long Easter weekend, everybody was ready to get moving to start the week. To be fair, this is pretty much always the reaction from Nova, Rupert and Gizmo, with wrestling, chasing and potentially paddling to be...
Oscar and Heimdall enjoyed meeting Brodie in the woods, and decided to have a play to celebrate. The only flaw with this decision on their part was that their play area was the stagnant water in a ditch. Every time the...
Gizmo has many aspects to his personality, some of which have gradually appeared over the time I've known him. One characteristic that hasn't changed is his love of posing, particularly when it involves his tail plumage...
Gizmo's next haircut is fast approaching, but in the lead up to this happening he's becoming quite the fluffball. The windy mornings are adding to the effect, making him look like a cuddly little bear. There's no way I...
Nova, Gizmo, Rupert and I hadn't even reached the field when we met Teddy, who had been on his way home until he decided it would be much more fun now that he had friends to play with. Initially, it was Nova and Teddy d...
With Toby now back at his own home, it was just Nova, Gizmo, Rupert and I that set off for the field. We met Bertie early on, who was having his first off-lead walk since he hurt his foot, so we had to be careful not to...
It was an energetic start to the week, with Nova and Rupert keen to get their chasing started quickly, and Toby deciding that three was definitely better than two. Rupert was happy to take on all-comers, even if it mean...
Oscar was quick to get in some sunshine rolling on the ground, and miraculously didn't completely cover himself in mud in the process. Leo had an even more energetic approach, so did more running and prancing. When Hei...

When someone’s getting in the back of the car, you want to check who it is, but don’t want to actually get up 🤦♀️

Different approaches to water…
Loki is a big splasher. Nova is very focused. Loki moves quick and can get in a video twice! Hettie isn’t risking getting too close 🤣
Rua needs to tighten her turning circle if she thinks she’s going to beat the speed queen Loki!
Piper’s getting braver in the water, and no balls were lost in the making of this video 🥳
Mabel was delighted to find a big pile of cut grass to roll in, and didn’t seem to mind if she kept rolling off it!

About The Dog Runner
I offer a friendly, affordable and flexible dog walking service in Chandler’s Ford and the surrounding areas. I can cater for groups or solo dogs, and am very happy to up the tempo to a run for more energetic dogs.
When you live a busy life, it's sometimes hard to provide the attention and exercise that your pets demand (and deserve). ‘The Dog Runner’ can provide that extra work-out that they'll love. I aim to tailor walks to whatever suits your dogs, whether that's a leisurely mooch through the woods, or a higher energy run. While we're out together, the dogs are my priority; ensuring they have a safe and enjoyable walk.
There's plenty of variety in where we can go for our walks, and I'll make sure all dogs receive top quality care and attention. I’m also fully insured, and police checked, so you can rest assured that your dogs are in safe hands.
Inevitably, we're likely to find mud on our outings (it's a key part of doggie fun for many). Although I don't offer a full bath, I always endeavour to return dogs home in a presentable condition.
I’m also ‘The Cat’s Butler’, providing home visits for your cats. Many cats are creatures of habit, making a cattery stay a stressful experience. Allowing them to remain in their own home means they’re more relaxed while you’re away.
Although cats are often very independent, it doesn't necessarily mean they don't value human interaction. My visits can provide plenty of play and fuss time, as well as feeding. Just because they don't need walking like dogs, doesn't mean they just get a quick pop-in at food time. I've become used to being a 'cat butler' over the years, as my cats trained me well!
