The weekend was full of adventure at our National Nosework Association Foundation Level Trial. The interior search was full of fantastic search & rescue items & proved challenging for some. A cold exterior search with all dogs catching odour from the same direction & selection test which pushed the handling skills.

Congratulations to
Winner🥇 Roz & Baxter
Reserve🥈 Sandra & Jura (who also staged up🤩)

A very big thank you to the team at Morayvia for welcoming us again at their wonderful aviation museum venue. Morayvia will be opening to the public for their experience tours again for Easter & we will certainly be making the time to go along. It really is a hidden gem of a place with an unbelievable amount of history, work & care invested by aircrew & engineers all with stories to tell about these wonderful museum pieces. A truly special place which we will always be excited to visit for our scent detection sessions.

For anyone wanting to join us & begin a scent detection journey with their dogs we will be running another introduction course in March, bookable now.

Our students find it tires their dogs out, helps to build focus in lots of environments.
Start with the basics of theory, scent id, passive indication, search technique & handling skills. Facebook group for support.
Dogs work individually to ensure the best learning environment - all sensitive, nervous dogs welcome.

Thank you to everyone who attended our The National Nosework Association Foundation Trial judged by Kirsty Corsar. Storm Bert was kind to us, so we managed to have great day, timed with a dry exterior search.

All competitors displayed lovely teamwork, with 2 teams achieving all 3 element badges. Selection proved tricky for some on the day despite confident handling skills from all.
The wind direction at the exterior hide drew some away from the source with most catching odour again whilst searching back the opposite direction - wonderful to watch.

Congratulations to :
Winner Carolyn & Mac, Flatcoat Retriever
Reserve Robert & Zest, Weimaraner

Robert & Zest also gained their last remaining element badge, staging up to Pre-Entry Level.

Thank you to Highland Alarms Ltd for allowing us to search such a fantastic venue & to all our competitors who made the trial such a joy to judge. There is nothing better than seeing teams happy at work & keen to go forward with their training plans after their trial experience & feedback. Well done to everyone!

Winner/Reserve pictures to follow 🥰
