CANNOCK CHASE: Tonight there were three separate road traffic collisions involving deer, within 20 minutes of each other, all of which took place within Cannock Chase. These collisions most often result in vehicles being written off and the deers unfortunately losing their lives.

We are urging drivers to please SLOW DOWN when travelling through the Chase and drive with care. Most roads have national speed limits however all have advisory 40mph limits, this is to protect both you and the wildlife, please adhere to this.

If you are unfortunate enough to have a collision with a deer, try not to panic, illuminate your hazard lights and call 999 immediately so we can arrange help and get the deer warden to the location as soon as possible.
