You must know by now that here at Avalon we SERIOUSLY appreciate these beautiful creatures 💛

We love guinea pigs because:
● they are make amazing companions to lonely people
● they are make great friends to those in the neurodivergent community
● as long as you look after them they'll love you regardless 💛
● they are incredibly misunderstood and deserve so much better
● they have such a gentle sociable nature
● they are incredibly funny to watch!
● they each have their own great personalities 🐹

Last night we lost a 4 month old girl who arrived here pregnant, her and her sister had been kept with 6 boys😡 " we didnt think they would get them pregnant" wtaf!!!!!, these boys are around 7/8 months old and it doesnt even bear thinking about how many times the boys mated the girls.
Theres no hope for the animals when this happens and its imposs to educate those type of people😡

( theres a word for what happened to rhe little ladies and it begins with R and ends in D)
This is what we have to deal with at times😪
This is what the public dont see!!!!!!

Most of the rescued pregnant mums have had their babies and we are getting a lot of requests to take in guinea pigs that people don't want anymore / can't look after anymore (no judgement, everyone has their reasons). This means we are using way more: 🐹 food 🐹 hay 🐹 shavings 🐹 medicines We need your help to make sure all of these beautiful creatures stay happy and healthy 🐹💛 If anyone wishes to adopt please get in touch! The rescue will be reopening to the public next week. There are some available piggies on our insta or you can visit and select your piggies on the day, they are ALL worthy of a home 💛💛💛
