This was yesterday on my first walk of the day. The sun was just trying to burn the mist off & thankfully no rain. It was so peaceful & quiet !

It is with great sadness that I have to say that Rio the Greyhound that I walked had to be put to sleep this morning. He had a fantastic life after he retired from racing & lived to the grand old age of 13.
Anyone that met him knew that he was a big gentle giant with such a cheeky side to his personality . His Aunty Sandra & all his K9 pals will miss him dreadfully. Run free over the Rainbow Bridge Rio 🌈 💕

I will be cutting walks down to around 30 mins for at least tomorrow & Thursday due to the continuing heatwave. This will ensure that all my doggie clients will get out before it becomes too hot. The forecast for Thursday is for a record breaking high of 34 degrees in the NW. I’m sure you all agree that your dogs safety is the most important thing. I do have a few routes that I can use that are in shade & near to water. I hope you all understand that your dogs welfare is always the main concern. These are exceptional circumstances & normal fun & frolics will resume as soon as possible.
