Having set up 'Scotty's Cartoons', becoming 'The Dog Cartoonist' was very much inspired by my gorgeous cocker spaniel, Jasper. Whilst Jasper resides over rainbow bridge now, he lives on as the face of Scotty's Cartoons and the passion behind it. Today is National Kids And Dogs Day, which celebrates the amazing bond that kids can have with their dogs.

Children can learn from a very young age just how special dogs are. Just like with adults though, it's important that they can read the body language of their dogs so that they can communicate and respect their boundaries.

Founded by Debby Lucken, KAD Kids Around Dogs® is an association of professionals who specialise in working with families and schools to help kids and dogs to live harmoniously. If you're seeking a professional, then looking for the KAD approved professional logo is a great first step to finding the right person.

This cartoon was commissioned by My Anxious Dog UK while they were working on a project with KAD for the mutual benefit of kids and dogs. 🥰

A big thank you to everyone who follows and engages with this Scotty’s Cartoons page. It’s hugely appreciated. For all of the recent followers, I thought I’d do an introduction post so you know who you’re actually following!

I’m Helen, AKA Scotty (I answer to either) and I have a gorgeous diva dog! This is Sadie, she’s a border collie x kelpie, and she’s a nervous little flower and too bright for her own good!
The dog in my logo is Jasper, who sadly crossed OTRB in 2020 but he is forever in our hearts. He was the inspiration for many of my cartoon gags, and his passing has given me a deeper understanding of the meaning behind my rainbow bridge scenes.

The services that Scotty’s Cartoons offer for pet lovers include headshots, portrait cartoon scenes, pets and people, rainbow bridge, tattoo design and book illustration. For pet businesses, services include logo design, character design, cartoon messages, infographics and event maps.
