Do you have the special home we need for our special boy Gizmo?
Gizmo is a three year old staffy x frenchie and is the most affectionate little snuffle pig
Shortly after arriving into our care it became clear Gizmo had issues with his coordination especially walking on certain surfaces
We took him to our specialist vet who suspected he had an issue with his brain sending messages so he had an mri to investigate.
The mri showed he has a problem with his cerebellar that he may have been born with or may have developed over time but that he has learnt to live with and shouldn’t get any worse over time. He has exaggerated movements in his legs and struggles to walk on pavements but in a field or a garden he absolutely loves it and is so happy running around in his own little stride
Gizmo can’t be operated on or medication can’t change his movement, but he is such a happy soul and we so want to find him a home of his own that he can run around in a garden and snuggle up on a sofa or make a nest under blankets in- he is a real cuddle monster!
Gizmo needs a home with understanding owners that will not over walk him, take him to surfaces his legs are most comfortable on,grass sand etc and that will love him unconditionally for being his unique self
Gizmo is good with other dogs and hasn’t reacted to a cat he’s met close up so he could potentially live with cats
Gizmo will be having BOAS surgery to improve his short nose breathing which should also reduce his noise level of snoring as he loves a nap but is a loud snorer 😊
Could you find a gizmo shaped space in your home for our unique quirky boy who so deserves a loving home?
please fill out the application form if you feel you can give Gizmo the home he deserves

Animal Lifeline Christmas Dinners 2024
🎄🍗 DOGS CHRISTMAS DINNER 🍗🎄
Thanks to your enormous support and generosity we were able to treat our gorgeous dogs to a yummy Christmas dinner during this holiday - as you can see in the video they've all enjoyed it very much! 🥰
We'd like to thank everyone who kindly donated towards this campaign - you made a big difference to our dogs this Christmas and we're truly grateful ❤
The massive amount you've helped us raise (over £1000!!) will enable us to organise more events like this such as New Year's puppuccinos, valentines treats and doggy barbecue in the summertime. Keep your eyes peeled!! 😍
Once again, heartfelt thank you from us here at Animal Lifeline and our gorgeous dogs 💙🙏💙
Hope you all had a lovely Christmas ✨
Someone’s had a busy christmas so far and is enjoying playing with some of the donated toys we’ve had 😊🐾🎄
The tiny abandoned puppy who was brought in as a boy and named Tiny Tim has had to have a slight name change due to actually being a girl 😂 so Tiny Timsey is doing really well, getting playful and growing slowly but surely.
The resident cat in her foster home though is pretty sure a puppy wasn’t on his list to Santa Paws 🐾😂
.
Tonight we had a call about a dog found abandoned which sadly is quite common, but what isn’t common is having a dog this tiny arrive 😢
Tiny tim as he’s now been called is only around 3 weeks old, has no teeth yet and has a deformed front leg which may be why he’s been abandoned, but we will be providing around the clock care to him and getting him to our orthopedic specialist next week to see what might be the issue.
This poor little man shouldn’t be away from his mum at this age but sadly we are now having to try and give him the warmth and comfort she would have given him- we don’t know his breed or any history but will make sure he is given the best care now he’s with us, and will update his story as he settles into foster care
*We will not be answering any rehoming enquiries about Tiny Tim currently*
🐶REGGIE’s DAY OUT🐶
A huge thank you to Dave our night warden and volunteer for taking Reggie for a day out!
Reggie went on an outreach day to @LM-K9 in Berkshire and got to experience a lot of new things, including a 3 hour car ride each way, having approximately 30 dogs around him, doing training drills and meeting new people.
He took it all in his stride and behaved perfectly.
Big thanks to @lm-k9training and @pawsaminute for their continued support.
Reggie is up for adoption and needs the following:
- Adult only home.
- Someone committed to training.
- Pet free home.
Blueberry progress for all those asking about her 😊 Her tail has started wagging, her sharpei ears are starting to lift and she’s starting to trust 😊 It’s very gentle steps with this girl but unlike whoever hasn’t looked for her, come forward to claim her or abandoned her in the first place, we won’t let her down and will make sure she knows she is safe now
.
Yesterday we got a call from Dawn and the lost dog capture team to say they had trapped a dog seen over the last couple of weeks sleeping rough and running free in Fenton and could we find a safe space for her to be scanned for a chip and to decompress
We luckily keep emergency space for dogs like this so Blueberry as we’ve called her arrived very scared and very very thin.
Her chip has a phone number that doesn’t work and email that isn’t in use anymore so we have no way of knowing if she has an owner or has been abandoned but she’s been reported being seen for at least two weeks so where has her owner been?
She is very frightened and needs building up both in condition and confidence but who knows what trauma this dog has been through or how frightened she must have been out there alone for that time.
We will be giving her time to gain trust and hope that as she settles we see the true character rather than the terrified dog currently
If anyone has any information on this dog or knows who the owner is and how she came to be running loose please message us directly- she was wearing a collar so must have been someone’s pet
We will keep you updated on her progress but for now Blueberry you are safe and we will show you nothing but love while you are with us
