Kernow Cat Club's AGM is to be held next Sunday 24th March 2024 at 2pm at Probus Village Hall, Amelia Close, Probus, TR2 4TS.
If you are a fully paid up member of the club you are most welcome to attend & vote on club matters.

We have some good news regarding a show this year!

A message from our Chairman:
"Hello to all our Members, Exhibitors and followers.
Further to my message to you on the 23 January last regarding the postponement of our Show on Saturday 6 April, I am delighted to inform you that we will be sharing with The South Western Counties Cat Show on Sunday 25 August 2024 at the Sedgemoor
Auction Centre which is just off the M5 at Junction 24.

A message from the Chairman of the Club regarding our Show :

To all our Members, Exhibitors & Followers,
It is with sincere regret that we are unable to hold our cat show on Saturday 6th April as planned, this is due to the fact that Jane our show Manager had a Stroke early in December & has decided to retire from show management.
We are however actively engaged in resolving the show's future & we will let you all know as soon as we have any news.
My thanks to you all for your patience and understanding.

The photos from our 36th Cat Show in April are now posted in an album under "photos". Many apologies for the long delay but life & another nasty dose of Covid got in the way. Unfortunately I did not get round to many sections as I was scribing all day, thanks also to my Husband who took a few photos for me when he arrived. If you click on the cat their details should be revealed. I am missing the info on 3 of them so do let me know if you can identify them, please do share & let owners know that their cats are pictured. Best in Show to follow in a week or 2. Enjoy! 🐈🏵

Hope everyone enjoyed our 36th Championship Cat Show on Saturday. A big THANK YOU! to all our lovely exhibitors & their gorgeous Cats, all the helpers, judges, stewards, vet staff, stall holders, MF Penning, the catering staff at the Matford Centre & everyone who visited - hope you all had a good day. Congratulations to all the winners, I will be posting some photos of the show in the coming weeks so keep an eye on our page & thank you to Committee member Kirsten Wright for this fab photo. 🐈🏵

🐾 KERNOW CAT CLUB'S 36th CHAMPIONSHIP CAT SHOW 🐾
will be held on Saturday 1st April 2023 at The Matford Centre, Matford Park Rd, Marsh Barton Trading Estate, Exeter, EX2 8FD.
There will be lots of Cats of all Breeds, Cat related stalls, Craft stalls, a Raffle & Best in Show judging. Free onsite parking, level access & onsite catering.
Doors open 12.00pm. Everyone welcome!
Adults £3, Children, Seniors and Disabled visitors £2.

I am very sad to report that my local town of Redruth has lost an icon - Hector The Station Cat has tragically passed away. He was rushed to the vets yesterday as he was found unable to move, originally it was thought he was hit by a car but the vets think that his heart gave up as he did have a heart murmur.
He had lived in the station for around 10 years & anyone who encountered him seemed to fall for his charms. He was such a lovely character & had his slaves to look after him & cater for his every need (mainly Dreamies!) He even had his own FB page https://www.facebook.com/Hectorthestationcat
Bye Bye Beautiful Boy - all your adoring fans will miss you so much. 🐈😢💔
