Hi folks, I am living my best life now I know I'm staying ! Here is my mate Ted, we are very similar in many ways. He is showing me how to work the sheeps and Mum thinks we are a very good team. It was quite hard work so I laid down in the water for a bit.

Hi folks Bucky here! Sorry I've not posted for a while but FMs been busy with the baby woolies and I've been busy learning stuff too. FM needs to learn how to keep her fingers out of the way of the camera but just watch what a good lad I can be. I'd like to live on a small holding with some sheeps, but I'd also like sofa cuddles. I definitely need to be away from traffic.

Hi Bucky here, it was a bit windy today! My mate PPBC Bonnie came to see me again and we had zoomy fun!

Incredibly I'm still looking for my forever home!

I can live with other dogs (male and female) and cats and older children. I'm a lovely boy who likes training and cuddling.

I need a quiet location. I also need help with my excitability meeting dogs on leads, but as you can see I do like other dogs.

Fosterer Update

Bucky is a 1 yr old neutered male looking for his forever home.

He can live with other dogs, even a multidog household, can live with cats and teenage children.He's extremely trainable and loves learning new things. He has a great recall and is a generally lovely obedient dog and loves a sofa snuggle! Bucky has a lot of potential to be a fantastic dog!

Special considerations:

Bucky trigger stacks and his main triggers are traffic, being on lead, possibly airport noise too. He is in foster in an extremely rural environment and has become a different, much calmer dog not having to encounter traffic and having mainly off lead exercise.Obviously homes like this are hard to find! He could cope with eg a quiet small cul de sac on the edge of a village, or more rural.

Hi Bucky here with my latest news. You may think I look a little perplexed here and for good reason!

I went to the vets which always worries me and FM went and left me there for a bit! I was a very good boy though.

I have to wear a special suit. It stops me licking my tackle but strangely I don't seem to have any anymore! I've not got my suit on here because I peed on it 😅

Hi Bucky here. I love playing and learning new stuff, especially both at once! I have learnt to wait until told I can go when playing fetch. Aren't I clever! I think so, that's why I have to do a victory lap of honour 😄

You will ideally be local(ish) or prepared to travel to Ammanford Wales minimum once a month, you will need to be tech savvy and obviously comfortable around dogs!

Payment will be in Collie cuddles and kisses and a lovely warm feeling from helping.😄

1 year old Bucky is looking for his forever home:

Can live with other dogs even multiple dogs, cats and older children.

Quiet traffic area only please, he doesn't lunge, just gets a bit stressed.

He needs further work on his excitability on lead with strange dogs. He just barks if he can't meet them, so it's definitely frustration. Is improving greatly though.

He would enjoy lots of training in such as agility etc but not essential. He loves learning new things, and works well for treats or toys.

Hi Bucky here! I've had a little trip today and was really happy to see my first foster mum, and I've made a really lovely new friend PPBC Bonnie !! We took Lad with us for emotional support 😄. I was a really good boy and didn't bark at anyone! Both FMs were really pleased with me

Bucky is in foster in a multi dog household and has great manners and respect with the others. He enjoys tuggy and will drop it on command. He is a joy to train!

Busy traffic makes him pull on the lead, he doesn't lunge, just gets a bit stressed, so quiet traffic only.

He needs work on his frustrated greeting of dogs on lead, he is much better off lead.

He would enjoy lots of training in such as agility etc but not essential.

He needs a quiet location with only slow, light traffic (eg 20mph one car at once).

Needs work on excitability when approaching strange dogs on lead.

Bucky has come on so much in foster he deserves a wonderful home.

Hi Bucky here. I've not posted much lately coz I've been busy training. I've been practising walking nicely wiv Mum on a lead and not pulling her arms out their sockets. She's chuffed with me. I now know if I've got too far in front and I have to come back a bit. We're going to take this on the road now, literally! I can do nice sits when a car comes past me now.

He is looking for a home with no traffic and border collie experience. He has so much to give in the right home.

Bucky has been in assesment a couple of weeks now in a quiet rural area. He will need a couple more weeks before he's ready to move on, but here is a sneak preview of his needs.

1 year old, as yet entire.
Location needs -rural, no traffic
Can live with other dogs -yes
Can live with a cat -yes - see photo!
Can live with children - teenagers only
Small furries? - probably not
Livestock - with training
Lead walking -needs improvement
Separation anxiety - not currently but needs his own safe space.

Bucky is clever, trainable and generally obedient. He loves cuddles! However he is very stressed by traffic, and also stressed on lead. Put the two together and he gets very reactive. Put him in a quiet rural area on a long line or loose in a secure field and he's a different dog! With understanding and patient positive training he will be a fantastic dog.

Hi everyone. FM says I can be over reactive, so we're working on being calm. Lead walking was very stressful and I pulled like crazy and wouldnt even take a treat. Now in a quiet place I'm practising calmer walking. I loves liver paste!

Bucky here again. I've been here for assesment for a week now and beginning to chill because I don't have to see traffic. I've met some of the resident dogs and Kimmy here is my favourite! She understands my barking is excitement and we play!

Follow my progress because in a couple of weeks I might be ready for my forever home!

Hi Bucky here! Well this is the first full day in my new foster home. I miss my first FM and FD and our sofa cuddles, and my little mate, but I'm trying to forget about the traffic which stressed me so much.

Thought you'd like to see some photos of my walk. I like snuffling in the grass and running around and coming back to FM for treats.
