My goal is to provide a quality-individualized service in a timely manner to all my clients. No-shows, late shows and cancellations, not only inconvenience me but also those who are on a waiting list wanting an appointment at Vicky’s Dog Care.

In order to be respectful of the needs of other clients, please be courteous and contact me promptly if you are unable to show up for an appointment. This time can then be reallocated to someone on the waiting list. If it is necessary to cancel your scheduled appointment, I require that you call at least 24 hours in advance. Appointments are in high demand at Vicky’s Dog Care, and your early cancellation will allow another client access to an appointment. 🙂

DOG OWNERS! Please be aware that rapeseed is flowering in fields around the country at the moment. Its pollen can be poisonous to dogs if ingested in LARGE amounts which will cause gastrointestinal upset (vomiting and diarrhoea). 🐶🌼 There has also been a number of cases that have reported sensitive dogs have developed sores and burn-like reactions after running through fields of rapeseed in bloom but this is reported as 'rare'.

To be safe we recommend keeping your dog on lead and/or under close supervision at all times. Dogs should also not be allowed to run through crops of any kind, out of respect to the farmers.

Welcome Lily the beautiful Labrador to #vickysdogcare Lily is a very anxious dog and needs lots of TLC. I specialise in tender loving care 😊 Lily soon settled.

The best way to get a puppy used to the grooming process is to start as soon as possible. Harry is 13wks old, he lives with Flyn the Border Collie, so he came along to watch Flyn being groomed. He watched everything so intently 😍 Once I had finished grooming Flyn I trimmed Harry’s nails so he didn’t feel left out. Oh and we did have a really good play and lots of hugs. I’m so grateful to be a part of so many dogs lives from puppyhood into old age, it’s such a privilege. Looking forward to seeing this cutie grow and develop ❤️🐾

It’s such a privilege to be able to build a relashionship with my canine clients from puppyhood through to old age. Meet Harry who will be a regular ray of sunshine at #vickysdogcare ❤️😍

I was trained at the London Academy of Professional Groomers to the highest City and Guilds standard and work from well equipped clean premises. I undertake all those tasks necessary to ensure your dog's comfort, hygiene and good looks.

I don't believe dogs should suffer for their beauty and so, unlike some other groomers, my first priority is to groom your dog without causing any stress or discomfort.

Does your dog get stressed or scared before visiting the dog groomer?

Does your dog come back from the groomers hyperactive, panting and stressed?

Does your dog sleep for long periods of time after a visit to the groomers?

Is your current dog groomer experienced in dog behavior and can understand canine body language?

At Vicky’s Dog Care I understand and recognize stress signals in your dog before they escalate to panic or aggression. I will never force your dog to do something that it doesn't want to do. Instead, I will encourage your dog to enjoy its grooming experience with reward based training and desensitization techniques.

While a dog-groomer needs great technical skill, kindness and patience are essential. I never have the need to cage a dog. I spend time getting to know my canine clients. It gives me enormous satisfaction to see the results of my work on a dog who has thoroughly enjoyed their visit.

All dogs are given one to one attention they are not rushed in anyway. I do not run a production line.My mantra is quality over quantity. Services are provided strictly by appointment only so I can concentrate on YOUR dog.

Owning and caring for a dog is great fun and immensely rewarding. But it is also a big responsibility. If you own or are responsible for a dog, even on a temporary basis and need advice on nutrition, exercise, grooming and general healthcare I would be pleased to hear from you.
