Just wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to C H Render for such amazing job when we purchased our new Toyota Hilux. They are always friendly & efficient & nothing was too much trouble in getting what we wanted & the service was second to non.

Another huge THANK YOU to Animal Transit Boxes for such a wonderful job in kitting out the Pickup. They couldn’t have made it any easier for us in getting exactly what we wanted & again such a friendly proffesional team.

We are two very happy customers & I highly recommend them to anyone. Thanks again to all involved.

I have been very fortunate to have had the amazing support from Honey’s Real Dog Food for many years. My dogs always look & perform so well on what I consider the very best of Raw Feeds. The team at Honey’s are always willing to give invaluable help & it’s just great to be able to pick up the phone & get advice when needed. I am very fortunate to be going back to Japan to meet up with my dearest friend Maiko Isono & this time we have the pleasure of inviting Laura Hill. We will be holding work shops, webinars & judge a working test together & it will also be nice to have company when we go sight seeing.

Some of you may well know or at least have met Maiko who came over to stay with me back in 2009 When she came over to learn initially about training dogs but she achieved a great deal more than that over her seven year stay. As you can imagine it was a huge culture shock for Maiko & her English wasn’t that good back then but she is so dedicated & such a delight to be with that over her time here she not only had the skill & the knowledge to teach dogs but had also learnt how to teach people, this meant we had achieved our goal which was to set up her own business up back in Japan.

Maiko won a novice trail here in 2014, gained her J regs in 2016, & won their class in BASC ring at Crufts in 2015 & was in our display team at Crufts over several years. All of these amazing achievements were of course a first for any Japanese person on every account & I think we can all agree what an outstanding person Maiko is.

When she returned to Japan 🇯🇵 she took three dogs back with her two Labradors that I bred & a Golden Retriever & her reputation for reward training has spread all over Japan 🇯🇵 & is now the top in her field, again teaching people how to teach dogs.

In 2022 Maiko managed to come over to stay for six weeks brining with her a Golden Retrieve Conifer which she had bred. We had a wonderful time together just like the old times & again she managed to hold her own gaining awards in working test & being part of The Northern Golden Retriever Association team gaining a fourth place in the Interclub.

Not quite the result I would have liked but I suppose if your going to be pipped to the post (forgive the pun) it might as well be by the best of the best. Botcherghyll Elder aka Timmy Trian Set gave me a 100% over the two days. He is such a kind boy & so biddable which means he is a delight to have out. Thank you Tim.

'LIVE LESSON - CHILLI BOX' is now available on the website and officially launched! The first video block is already uploaded and the next one will be automatically available later this evening. Follow Philippa's training and education of her new puppy Chilli right from day one and for the first 12 months. Each video block is approx 15-20 mins long with new blocks uploaded every 14 days.

We will be covering all aspects of Gundog work from how to read your dog effectively to get the best results, when to reward & when not to, how to build exercises to create quick learning, improve handling at a distance & so much more. 25th and 26th August 2022 at Gardners Farm, Ashburnam, East Sussex

This workshop is suitable for NOVICE/INTERMEDIATE dogs

Limited to 8-10 handlers

This workshop requires two day attendance so you can apply the theoretical learning in the morning from day one to practical teaching for rest of the event.

Attendees have the opportunity to work one dog on the first day and a different dog on the second day if they wish.

Dogs must be able to walk to heel, be steady and have an established retrieve.
This event is being coordinated by one of our Members Elena Lanes Gould and Andrew Ward-Smith of Gardeners Farm

Gardners Farm is a beautiful training ground in East Sussex with fantastic variation of cover and lakes for water work. It is also a lovely campsite based in the High Wield, and is available to book.
Tent pitches start from £25 for one night.

Gardners Farm is located only 1 hour and 15 mins from the Eurostar and 30 minutes from the port of Hastings.

Bina 10/05/13 - 23/12/21

As you know I very rarely post anything & it has taken me a few days to be able to write this.
Bina was suddenly taken I’ll on 17th December & went into the vets for intensive care. As all the tests results came back as negative, scans etc showed nothing & she was going down hill I had the horrendous decision to let her go.
Seeing as so many of you have memories of my dearest Bina I thought it only right to let you know. Bina was the the most wonderful teacher to people like Maiko Isono, Claudia Atkinson, Sidney Tilghman, Hannah Walsh & Kirsty Stenhouse to name but a few. The girls all benefited greatly from Bina’s kind, loving & affectionate nature but also her bid ability, natural talents & keenness to work be it Gundog work, agility or flyball, she just loved it all. This meant they could gain so much experience & knowledge from working with her in so many disciplines. In my lessons she was my support when required as she taught dogs manners & respect when needed & my clients also learnt so much from her & will have some wonderful memories. Jai is missing his mum as he never plays with anyone else except her which they joyfully did every morning without fail. Bina had so much still to give & to be taken away from us so young at just eight doesn't. seem fair as she was so fit, health & happy but once 17th hit it was a different story.

Goodby my darling girl - you gave the most & asked for the least we will all miss you.

Botcherghyll Elder aka Timmy Train set steamed home by winning the Norther Golden Retriever Association All Aged stake & guns choice today. Tim has come such a long way in a very short space of time & is a delight to be out with. He has run in five trials three being Novice & two All Aged with three placing & two guns choice. Tim & I are looking forward to running in open next season.
