🥳 Happy new year! 🥳
I hope everyone had a wonderful break over Christmas and are now ready and prepared for 2025 ✨
Herbie was signed off just before Christmas. He started physiotherapy treatment after suffering with an intermittent chronic hind limb lameness. Diagnosis was suspected injury to the iliopsoas muscle.
After prescribing exercises and his owners doing such a fantastic job at doing them, there has been no lameness present for a long time 👏🏼
Once I was happy with Herbie being more comfortable on his leg I referred him to to help build his muscle.
We are both so pleased to see Herbie improve and back to his normal bouncy self 🤩

And that’s it for another year! 2024 was a whirlwind of being busy, meeting new clients and unfortunately saying goodbye to a few 💕
I will be enjoying a couple of days off enjoying the holiday. I return to physical work on the 6th but am contactable throughout my time off.
Watch out for a few updates as I had the pleasure of signing off a few clients last week, each deserving their own spot on here for everyone to see 👏🏼
Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New year 🥳
Here’s to 2025 🍾

💪🏼 Archie 💪🏼
We were lucky enough to have this gorgeous boy come in for physiotherapy treatment after suffering with intermittent forelimb lameness and a diagnosis of suspected osteoarthritis.
Archie was struggling when getting up due to stiffness and had lost the enthusiasm to go on long walks again. Upon examination we found muscle atrophy over his left shoulder and right hip.
With careful planning of prescribed exercises (greyhounds are not always keen to learn new tricks!!) we have been able to build up his muscle mass, reduce his stiffness and are pleased to say Archie is now happily going on 3 mile walks and running around fields with no ill effects 👏🏼 I am especially proud as we only saw Archie a total of four appointments over the period of September to December 😍

💥 Dodger 💥
Dodger (on the right) is another successful case we’ve recently had the pleasure of treating and signing off. His owners and fantastic dog walker ( ) noticed an altered pelvic limb gait so decided to get him looked over.
On assessment we found Dodger to have reduced hip extension bilaterally, right presenting worse. Muscle atrophy over right quadriceps and hamstring. The stance analyser showed LF 30; RF 34; LH 22; RH 14. this highlighting a reduced weight bearing on the right hind.
With the home prescribed exercises Dodger has been able to build muscle and is walking much better. It was also highlighted that Dodgers behaviour has also changed, he is less spooky and less reactive when out on walks 👏🏼
Lexi his sister (on the left) has been joining us at appointments to help her get used to the vets 🥰 and if you need any dog grooming have a look at .of.paws.grooming

🍂 Torvi 🍂
We have recently signed off Torvi from physiotherapy treatment after she was suffering with an intermittent, chronic forelimb lameness. After assessment we found muscle atrophy over her left forelimb. With a careful rehab plan set in place we have slowly been able to build up her muscle and therefore help build up her duration of walks. Originally Torvi could only cope with 10 minutes of walking before she went lame, now she is up to an hour, running around off lead with no problems 👏🏼😍

All emails caught up with and everyone replied too - it’s finally time for me to head off out and up to Scotland! I won’t be contactable until I return on the 21st.
See you all soon 🏴

⚫️⚪️ Jessie ⚪️⚫️
I had the pleasure of treating the beautiful Jessie a few months ago after her owners noted her not displaying her normal behaviour such as; rolling onto her back, not jumping up at people and looking uncomfortable when getting up.
After assessment it was found the iliopsoas to be quite tight, along with some minor muscle atrophy over her quadriceps.
With a detailed plan put into place of stretching and strengthening physio exercises, Jessie is now back to her normal self 🤩👏🏼

🤪 Sydney 🤪
Well done to everyone who pick Australian Cobberdog on the guess the breed for Sydney 👏🏼
Sydney is a full of energy, bouncy boy who was diagnosed with bilateral elbow dysplasia. He presented with severe muscle atrophy over his bicep brachii and triceps brachii. When out on a walk his left leg would also ‘give way’ and collapse slightly. On examination Sydney also had instability when assessing supination range of movement (external rotation of the limb).
Sydney had Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) treatment injected into both elbows. This is a procedure that takes a blood sample, concentrating the platelets and injecting them back into the joint. PRP is noninvasive and helps stimulate healing and reduce inflammation to help improve joint function.
We have now been able to build Sydney’s muscle and his owners have been able to build his exercise back up without Sydney collapsing on the leg anymore.
I will continue to see Sydney on a maintenance programme to help make sure we keep on top of maintaining his muscle mass.

🎩 Jonesy 🎩.
This lovely gentleman of a boy was signed off from physiotherapy last month after recovering from L2-L3 disc extrusion, treated with just conservative management. We had certain aims to hit due to the owners going away on holiday, and with the help of a dog buggy, he was able to travel with them, enjoying the walks and scenery.

🐑 Walter 🐑
Well done to everyone who guessed Walters breed, he is an Old English Sheepdog!
I am currently seeing Walter for hip dysplasia and spinal discomfort. We are still early days on our treatment plan with Walter but he is a pleasure to see.

💪🏼 Gus 💪🏼
Gus was showing a little limp/ skip on his right hind, after investigations Gus was diagnosed with Grade 1 luxating patella. On assessment Gus showed to have very slight muscle atrophy over his right quadriceps. Treatment plan made with home prescribed exercises to target the quads - this in turn helps to support the stifle joint (knee).
Gus parents did such a fantastic job with doing their homework that by the second appointment the skip had gone 👏🏼
Well done Gus 👏🏼⭐️

I am also booking up in June, so if you are worried please book a few sessions in advance when I see you next (I know most of you do anyways!)
And a big thank you for supporting my business, it’s a wonderful feeling that I am this busy and you are trusting me with your adorable animals 🥰
(Another thank you for everyone who I’ve seen this week whilst I get to grips with my new online systems; it’s a slow transition but a much better one)

When a high energy or anxious dog becomes settled with me and falls asleep 😴
Every time I find it such a huge achievement that these dogs are comfortable and feel safe with me touching and helping them.
This guy is Harley, and he is ready to love everyone, but can be very high energy and actually quite anxious when it comes to massage. He is being seen for stiffness and presents with a very sore, tight back. We have taken it very slow in the sessions, but by the third he was lying down and falling asleep 😴 needless to say me and his owner were (very quietly, to not disturb him) grinning from ear to ear!

🍣 Sushi 🍣
This lovely little lady has been signed off from physio after recovering from a big operation for IVDD. Sushi had a fenestration operation from T11-L4. When I first saw her she had no use of her back legs, the surgeons were unsure if she would regain full use of them, but she now walks unaided, albeit with a slight arch in her back, but it doesn’t stop her being sassy 🤭
Well done Sushi 👏🏼🍣

We made it…February is finally here after a long January, we survived FIVE Mondays in a month 🥴🫣
February is already busy for me, only a few spaces available at the end of the month 🐶🐴
Longer evenings are starting to creep back in, which means more time for riding and dog walks 🥳
Get in touch if you want your animals checked over so you can ensure you can have a fulfilled and active spring/summer 💪🏼
As we know the shoot season is finishing up, but the hunt season is still going strong! Galloping across country and jumping hedges, I’ve been keeping the Hampshire hunt horses feeling as best as they can 🐴
If you go out regularly with a hunt, it is always worth keeping ontop of how your horse feels. I can easily accommodate to appointments so you don’t need to miss out on a days riding at the weekend.

Laura gained her qualification in 2017 after the completion of a BSc (Hons) in Veterinary Physiotherapy at Warwickshire College, Moreton Morrell with the NAVP. The NAVP is recognised as one of the first in the industry to develop the direct entry route for veterinary physiotherapy. In order to be a member of NAVP a strong scientific knowledge, clinical practice and continued research must be obtained and upheld. Working alongside veterinary surgeons, you can be assured that the highest standard of physiotherapy care is given.
Laura's passion has always laid within animal welfare and care, this is shown by having extensive knowledge within the equine, canine and feline sector. Having had her own horses, Laura has over 15 years of equine experience, ranging from working with the RDA, riding schools, showing, dressage, along with an array of equine management and BHS qualifications.
Growing up with dogs, Laura has also worked along side dog walkers which enabled her to gain more breed specific knowledge within dynamic and behaviour assessments. Laura has a strong passion in educating owners on common conditions and what to look out for, ensuring that our beloved canine friends are happy and comfy for as long as possible.
Laura has gained a considerable amount of experience and knowledge in the handle and care of felines. Having two cats herself, Laura worked in a cattery which would have an array of different medical treatments to be administered to the cats. This allowed her to understand the different behaviours that can be portrayed and is aware of how important it is to note different behaviour patterns.
