I am a City and Guilds Qualified groomer with training experience from Scruffy Pups Dog & Cat Groomers - Darlington, I also have triple Distinction in Animal Management. I have experience with many animals of all types especially dogs and love to work with them. I offer all kinds of dog grooming for all breeds, including puppy introduction grooms, bath and deshedding treatment, full clip grooming and nail clipping.

If there are any cancellations between now and then, they will be made available on first come first served basis. I appreciate your understanding and patience during the upcoming busy festive period and as always am so very grateful for your custom all year round (but especially December as we all love the Christmas grooms so much 🤣🤭)

About your groomer,

Hi, I’m Aimee the owner of, and the groomer of, Shampooches Mobile Pet Grooming.

I trained and qualified back in 2013 at C&G level 3 at what was then Scruffy Pups, under Shaun Leach LCGI. A fantastic time was had during that time. I have not always wanted to be a dog groomer, growing up I thought I would be a vet, but it was clear my maths skills were not going to get me there lol. I did spend a lot of time around dogs and horses and after leaving school I completed 3 years of Animal Management at Askham Bryan.

After leaving college I then had my daughter, and began to think of my options of what job I would like to go into, it had to be with animals in some way shape or form. Animals are my passion! I had previously done some work experience at Paws in North Ormesby so my parents gave me the idea of mobile dog grooming, and I had not a clue where to start. Fast forward to today and here we are.

I love all dogs, big or small. But I am a sucker for big dogs, having grown up with German Shepherds. My own dog Duke is now incorporated into my logo, along with a French Bulldog! When I started this job it worried me so much that most of the dogs appeared to hate everything, me, the grooming, everything and I thought I wasn’t sure if I was right for this job. As years have passed I have learnt to read their body language a bit more, their likes and dislikes and while most still hate it I have realised they do like ME, just not the grooming part.
