Today is National Ice Cream Day, which originated in 1984. It certainly has been Ice Cream weather this past week, as summer seems to have finally arrived!
Remember not to feed your precious doggies human ice cream. There are lots of dog friendly ice creams for them to enjoy and keep them cool.

🐶Dewi was found abandoned and came to us from a dog warden. When he first arrived at his foster home, he was shy and nervous, with matted hair and stains on his legs and belly. He found it difficult to approach humans and his tail would be tucked between his legs.
🫶Since then, Dewi has shown remarkable resilience and is blossoming into a more confident and loving dog.
🤩Dewi loves to snuggle up on the sofa for a cuddle and enjoys being close to his humans. He equally loves going for walks and running around in fields, although his energy levels are quite low.
🐶Dewi is comfortable around other dogs, but is unlikely to play with them. He'll also greet other dogs while out for a walk.
👨👩👦Dewi has come a long way in his foster home and is ready to find his forever family who will continue to help him grow in confidence and shower him with love.

Benny came into us from a family with young children. Benny is looking for an experienced family who can support his need for consistent and sympathetic training to manage his ball/toy obsession and improve his recall.
Whilst nervous around our fosterers spaniels initially, Benny has settled in quickly and loves running around with them.
Benny is ready now to find his forever home and family, who will help him reach his potential.

We decided as a charity to begin working with dog wardens. This is part of a broader strategy that supports a phased opening. This phased opening will allow us to continue building the charity and ensure everything is in good working order before we open our doors to the wider public.

At the Spaniel Rescue Foundation we've spent the last few months preparing to begin taking spaniels into the charity. We've been hiring volunteers, raising funds and setting up our infrastructure.
We're now in a position that we can begin to look forward to the next chapter in our story. As a charity we have made the decision to begin working with Dog Wardens to help alleviate the pressure being experienced with the unprecedented level of dogs being found abandoned.

The Spaniel Rescue Foundation relies on volunteers to keep us running.
Whether you like planning, creating or designing content, we’ve got a number of vacancies in our Communications & Marketing team including roles a content creators.
Our content creators will work as part of a team creating ideas, designing, creating and delivering campaigns and content for our social media channels and website.
You'll also work with the Income Generation team to deliver campaigns that will drive income for the charity.

We're looking for a retail merchandiser to join our team at SRF, and support us designing merchandise, arranging suppliers and supporting sales of merchandise.
We're not necessarily looking for you to have experience of merchandising (although it would be helpful). If you've got strong organisational skills, strong communication skills and an eye for detail then this role could be a great fit.

We are currently looking for Transport Coordinators! This role requires someone with the ability to read a map, plan and coordinate a dog's transport from its owner to its new foster home.
The Transport Coordinator role sits within our Ops Support team. The Ops support team work behind the scenes completing vital tasks that will allow us to operate and support as many spaniels as possible.
