Ch Citycroft Stargazing over Yialousa JW - Charlie. 17.01.12 - 18.07.24
Very sadly and suddenly we lost Charlie this week. Always such a quiet, easy and unassuming whippet but a real showman who we made up to UK Champion within 6 weeks during the summer of 2014. After becoming a champion he was shown very little, making way for his litter sisters son, Gus. He later enjoyed success as a veteran and is pictured at nearly 8 years old winning BIS at EAWC in 2019 from an entry of around 150.
For the first two years of his life he lived with Anita but following that spent the rest of his days as a much loved member of Jo & Mark’s family. He was used sparingly at stud, again being somewhat in the shadows of his nephew - but we currently have at home his 6 week old g g grandpups. Charlie, you were a star and very special to us. ❤️⭐️❤️

Maple - Crème Anglaise’s Lady Bridgerton of Citycroft has had a great weekend of shows;
Today at MWC she was Best In Show under breed specialist Susie Lain.
Yesterday at Blackpool Champ show she won Yearling under Wendell Moore.

A very wet and untypical Whippet weather show, but our girls did us proud at Border Union Championship Show, in an excellent entry;

“Emmy” Citycroft Seattle - 3rd Limit B at her first show of 2024 having been on maternity leave.
Really proud of our two girls. ♥️♥️

Another lovely win for Maple yesterday at Whippet Club of Scotland under breed specialist judge Heather Cleaver.
Maple was a real star during our trip, behaved perfectly in the hotel and absolutely fine being on her own as none of our other Whippets were entered.
She was reunited with her bestie, Emmy (C Seattle) last night and they’ve had great fun running together in the field today. Maple will be a great training partner for Emmy as she prepares for a return to the show ring next month following her maternal duties.

Maple’s critique from WELKS where she took Best of Breed from an entry of 154 Whippets at just 15 months old under breed specialist judge Maria Hills;
Crème Anglaise’s Lady Bridgerton of Citycroft (Imp Nld) (Mrs J C & Miss R L Whitehead & Smith), This young lady was my find of the day.
She has the most gorgeous head and expression, good length of neck and correct shoulders. Correct topline and underline, displaying the
whippet curves to their best. She is moderate throughout without exaggeration and was so effortless when she glided around the ring
but with real drive. BCC & BOB, also made final cut in Hound Group, one to watch for the future.

Gorgeous new photo (thank you Malcolm!) of Citycroft Seattle “Emmy” 15 months old and made a super start to her junior career with multiple champ show 1st places. We are so pleased with this girl who also has the absolute best temperament and is a joy to have at home ❤️

We are so excited to be expecting the first litter to be sired by the gorgeous young dog; Creme Anglaise’s Just Julian. Ginny has been confirmed in whelp and her puppies are due at the start of December. Welcome to all our new followers 👋
To answer recent puppy queries; we plan to have our next litter from Ginny - Citycroft Ginger Rogers. Puppies should arrive 🤞 towards the end of the year. Ginny is full sister to our very successful Ch Citycroft High Society JW. Here she is with her first litter in 2020. We hope for a variety of colours and most probably another fluffy grey one!
