Our motivation is simple…comfort for both horse & rider! Major neural pathways run through the horse's jaw and poll areas and poorly directed pressure can result in tension and discomfort. Across all equestrian disciplines, high investment is made on tack – saddles are fitted by qualified and experienced saddlers, but many of us have a more blasé approach to the fit of bridles. Ensuring your horse

’s bridle fits accordingly and there are no pressure points is essential to the comfort and performance of your horse. Research has progressed significantly in recent years to show the effects of pressure on the neural pathways and the way it affects our horse’s performance, their willingness and their range of movement and jump. The results have been unequivocally in favour of distributing and reducing this pressure to increase all-around performance. The EquiLove pads achieve this by offering unique shock absorbing and pressure distributing qualities. Each EquiLove product is beautifully crafted by hand in the UK. The way the stitches are formed during the crochet process is what gives them their unique shock absorbing and pressure distributing properties. The wool used is a carefully considered blend of natural and man-made fibres that is practical and functional, and can be machine washed at 30 degrees. It also has superb wicking properties, allowing moisture to instantly be wicked away from the skin, leaving your horse dry and sweat free. This is particularly useful for horses with sensitive skin and/or allergies. Our products are extremely user friendly and not discipline specific – we cater for all! They have been tested extensively by riders from across all major disciplines and every item comes in its own individually tailored bag with a year’s guarantee. EquiLove offer a beautiful range of rider headbands, in both knitted and crocheted styles. Our headbands are also an entirely hand crafted product made in the UK, they are a must have stylish accessory for chilly days and perfect for taming ‘wild hair’! Sorry it’s been so long since I’ve posted, we have been open, busy and taking orders on both Etsy and our website.

But I do have some news, and not the very good kind, I will be needing to close for a while unfortunately and I don’t know if/when I’ll be able to open again 😔

Lots of you know of my MS fight, well I’m still fighting that, but I’m now fighting something else, equally scary too.

As much as I love what I do, it is stressful working to deadlines, whilst spending so much time in hospital and feeling dreadful.

All outstanding orders will of course be sent out, but our Etsy store and our website will be offline until further notice.

I have an ever increasing and long waiting list for Merino Rein Covers 😳 I’m still hoping to work through the list, but it may take a bit of time.

Thank you for being the best customers and supporters, it’s been an incredible journey for me, which started back in 2016.

Hopefully I’ll be able to reopen again in the future but my health has to determine that decision.

We’re now in the run up to Christmas and things are pretty busy between the website and Etsy sales.

Our shop will be closed, and my crochet needle will be resting from the 15th December until the 5th of January 2022 …where has this year gone? 😳

There is no need for Infrared or Ceramic Fibre technology with our Bridle Pads! The therapeutic benefits of wool, make our pads warm and soft to use, perfect for horses with sensitive skin, and they shape to the contours of the jaw, chin and poll.
