I am a fully insured and fully qualified ICAT Level 4 Dip Equine Sports Massage and Rehabilitation Practitioner and a proud member of the Association of Complementary Animal Therapies (ACAT). I am also a practitioner of Salt Therapy, using the natural healing properties of Salt to help

with Skin and Respiratory issues along with improving lung function, performance and general well being. Equine Massage Therapy can benefit any horse, whether competing at any level, hunting, racing, in light work, out of work/retired or a horse in need of rehabilitation massage and stretching exercises. Through a combination of massage and stretching techniques, W.I.S.P.A Equine Sports Therapy provides:

Wellness - Treatment provides a general feeling of overall well being in the horse. Massage stimulates endorphins which can calm a horse and also acts as a natural pain killer. It can help improve respiration and digestion, as well as draining lymphatic waste and toxins from the body. It also gives the coat a glossy shine due to the increase in the release of oils and the removal of dead cells. Invigoration – Sports Massage Therapy can invigorate and strengthen the muscles supporting the joints. It can help increase the blood circulation which carry enriched oxygenated blood to travel to the muscles, this helps them to be more effective. Suppleness - Massage therapy and stretching helps to loosen and stretch the muscles. Strong, supple muscles improve posture and helping support the whole skeletal system. This will in turn, improve the horses way of movement and gait. Prevention - The increase of blood supply and the warming and stretching effect on the muscles, help to reduce the possibility of injury. Massage also helps to soothe tired nerves, reduce scar tissue and helps to speed up the healing process in the event of injury. Great for general massage, rehabilitation and pre and post competition. What is Salt Therapy? Salt Therapy replicates the healing properties of the salt caves, using mineral salts which are ground into microfine particles, using a professional Halogenerator to omit these particles into the surrounding air. It works by using the controlled inhalation and absorbtion of these mineral salts, which are able to pe*****te deep into the respiratory system through the airways, which can reduce inflammation and irritation and is also absorbed through the skin when the salt lands on it. To all my amazing clients.Ive been dreading writing this as its so final, but some of you will know that over the recent months I've been reducing down my client base as I've been looking to venture into a different direction and with that in mind I would like to update everyone on where I am currently.
Therefore, it is with great regret that I will be stopping offering equine massage and salt therapy, but I will however leave the page open for anyone who wishes to contact me to purchase a home salt machine for their horse/pony.
I have really, really loved working with all your horses/ponies over the last 5/6 years and I am so appreciative of everything your horses taught me and all the trust and support you have given me in entrusting me to treat them. It's a never ending fantastic learning curve and I can't really believe I'm giving this up!! 🙈
However, my next step is also a little exciting even if its not horse related.
I will miss coming out to visit you all and anyone I havent yet redirected is welcome to contact me if they find themselves stuck.
I hope 2025 is amazing for everyone.

🎉So some exciting news!!! 🎉

Home salt machines are now available to buy! 🥳

This means you could treat your horse or your dog at home and whenever you like!!

Excellent for helping manage the symptoms of respiratory and skin issues such as coughs, allergies, asthma, copd, sweetitch etc and also very helpful in keeping wounds clean without having to touch the area.
Salt can also help reduce anxiety, help recovery and keep the surrounding air purified.

In dogs it has been very effective (as well as other ailments and allergies) in helping with sore itchy skin including between the paws, belly and skin folds,as well as reducing itchy gunky ears (which often struggles to be managed with antibiotics).

These home salts are a smaller version of the commercial machine I use to treat your animals and are quite impressive. As you can see the output is quite strong. It runs off a plug socket and is activated with a remote control and three seperate settings.

(Larger machines are also available for a more permanent set up which would be beneficial to a wide range of establishments such as racing yards, competition yards, and veterinary practices etc.)

This machine has just gone to its new home and im looking forward to hearing the results!
