It really shouldn't take a rocket scientist to figure out, but here's a few reasons anyway on why your standard Pet food just won't cut it 👇

1. Incomplete Nutrition:
Cheap kibble often lacks the essential nutrients your dog needs for optimal health. From vital proteins to essential vitamins and minerals, a well-rounded diet is essential for their overall well-being.

2. Digestibility Concerns:
Fillers like corn, soy, and wheat can be challenging for dogs to digest, potentially leading to digestive issues, allergies, and sensitivities. Quality ingredients contribute to better digestibility and nutrient absorption.

3. Long-Term Health Impacts:
Consistently feeding your dog low-quality kibble can have long-term health impacts. From a lack of energy and a dull coat to potential weight issues, the effects may become more noticeable over time.

4. Allergies and Sensitivities:
Common fillers and artificial additives may trigger allergies or sensitivities in some dogs. Opting for higher-quality dog food with fewer fillers reduces the risk of adverse reactions.

5. Subpar Ingredients, Subpar Results:
Inexpensive kibble may seem like a cost-effective choice initially, but the compromised ingredients often result in more frequent vet visits, potential health issues, and a lower quality of life for your pup.

Investing in your dog's diet is an investment in their health and happiness. Choose dog food that prioritises quality ingredients, avoids common fillers, and provides a well-balanced nutritional profile for your pup's unique needs.

Avoid over processed junk with these quick & easy homemade peanut butter & banana dog treats 🐶🦴

Ingredients:
1 ripe banana
1/2 cup natural peanut butter (make sure it doesn't contain xylitol, as it can be toxic to dogs)
1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional)
1 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup rolled oats
*Optional: Multi-Vitamins & Omega 3's

Instructions:
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Mash the banana & add peanut butter.
*Optional: Add crushed multi-vitamins and/or Omega 3 supplement for an easy health boost.

Mix Dry Ingredients:
In a separate bowl, combine the whole wheat flour and rolled oats.

Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients:
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana and peanut butter mixture. Stir until a dough forms. If the dough is too sticky, you can add a bit more flour.

Roll and Cut:
Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thickness. Use cookie cutters to cut out shapes or simply use a knife to create small squares.

Place on Baking Sheet:
Place the cut-out treats on the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between each.

Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 10-12 minutes or until the edges turn golden brown.

Cool:
Allow the treats to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Serve: Allow to cool let your good boy/girl enjoy a Christmas treat!

We spend endless time and money worrying about our own health, while often neglecting our pets health with the cheapest kibble on the shelves.

S buckle up as we unveil the common fillers and additives lurking in pet foods—potential carcinogens and toxic substances that may be harming your pets. It's time to become aware people. Share this post to spread awareness 📢🚨

1. Corn and Soy:
Often Hiding: Inexpensive pet foods bulked up with corn and soy.
Potential Harm: These fillers lack essential nutrients and can be linked to allergic reactions and digestive issues, posing a risk to your dog's health.

2. Artificial Additives: Cheap kibble containing artificial colours, flavours, and preservatives. These additives offer no nutritional value and may contribute to serious health concerns, including carcinogenic risks.

3. Meat By-Products: Lower quality pet foods substituting real meat with meat by-products. By-products can include less desirable animal parts, and the lack of quality protein can impact your dog's health negatively.

4. Wheat and Gluten:
Often Hiding: Economical dog foods using wheat and gluten as cheap sources of carbohydrates. Overconsumption of these fillers can lead to allergies or sensitivities in some dogs.

Here's the top 5 foods, you should NEVER to feed your dog 🙅‍♂️🍔

🥑 Avocado
While healthy for humans, avocados contain persin which can damage dogs' heart muscles and be toxic if ingested. The fatty richness also upsets dogs' stomachs. Better to play it safe and skip guac!

🍫 Chocolate
We all want to spoil our pups but chocolate contains dangerous theobromine and caffeine that dogs can't metabolise. This can cause vomiting, diarrhoea, seizures...definitely not a tasty treat!

🍅 Tomato
While tomatoes themselves are fine, the stems and leaves contain solanine that irritates dogs' digestion. Ripe tomatoes can also trigger upset stomachs.

☕️ Coffee
That morning caffeine jolt helps us wake up but is risky for canines. Like chocolate, coffee's high caffeine content can cause rapid heart rates, panting and tremors in pets.

🧄 Garlic
Garlic might add lots of flavour to foods but can wreck dogs' red blood cells and cause severe conditions like hemolytic anemia.

Digestive Wellness 101: Tips for a Happy Tummy ⬇️ 🥩

1. Balanced Nutrition: Offer a well-balanced diet rich in quality proteins, fibres, and essential nutrients for optimal digestion.

2. Probiotics Boost: Include probiotics in their diet—found in yogurt, apple-cider vinegar, fermented foods or supplements—to support a balanced gut flora and a robust immune system.

3. Hydration Priority:
Ensure your pup stays hydrated; water is crucial for digestion. Always provide fresh water, especially after meals and play.

4. Exercise for Regularity:
Encourage regular exercise to keep your dog fit and support bowel regularity for a healthy digestive system.

5. Gradual Diet Changes:
Introduce diet changes gradually to prevent stomach upset. Mix new food with the old over a week or two for a smoother transition.

A few simple steps can lead to a lifetime of digestive wellness for your furry friend. Keep their tummy happy, and watch them thrive!

In the realm of pet nutrition, the choice between raw and processed dog food has ignited a spirited debate.

So let's delve into this canine culinary conundrum, exploring the merits of each option to guide you in making a well-informed decision for your cherished furry companion.

The Raw Perspective:
Raw dog food, often dubbed the "ancestral diet," echoes what dogs may have consumed in the wild. Advocates argue for its nutrient retention, dental benefits, and the promotion of healthier skin and coats.

1. Nutrient Richness: Raw diets retain essential nutrients, enzymes, and amino acids, contributing to overall vitality.

2. Dental Health: Gnawing on raw bones aids in reducing plaque and tartar, fostering better dental health.

3. Healthy Skin and Coats: Enthusiasts claim shinier coats and healthier skin due to increased intake of essential fatty acids.

The Processed View:
Processed dog food, including kibble and canned options, offers convenience, balanced nutrition, and a commitment to safety and consistency.

1. Convenient Feeding: Kibble's ease of storage and measurement makes it a go-to choice for pet parents with busy schedules. However 'most convenient' won't always mean best.

2. Balanced Nutrition: Reputable commercial pet food brands ensure a well-balanced diet, meeting dogs' nutritional needs.

3. Safety: Rigorous quality control measures provide reliable, safe, and consistent nutrition in every batch.

For those seeking a middle ground, we provide a solution that bridges the gap, offering personalised supplements to optimise your dog's diet, regardless of whether it's raw or processed.

Above all else, always remember to make informed choices, offer love and care, and relish in the joy of a content and healthy pup – the only true goal for every pet parent!
